The pisco sour was delicious, but for almost $10 we only ordered one each. the lomo saltado was decent, but very heavy on cilantro, which threw off the flavour for me. Interesting spot, but not my favourite place to eat in NYC.

A couple of friends and I traveled an hour and a half in a packed-full train to get to this restaurant in hopes of eating delicious Peruvian food. However, the first disappointment was the Pisco Sour, which had tequila mixed with the pisco. As appetizers, we ordered Causa de Pollo (which was great) and Anticuchos de Corazon, which where underseasoned and undercooked. As for the main courses, the Lomo Saltado was good, although not great, but the biggest disappointment was the Ceviche. It is unbelievable that a true Peruvian restaurant could do a ceviche that tastes this bad. It lacked lemon, which is one of the main ingredients in ceviche!

Ceviche and Pisco Sour, the two main icons of peruvian food, are extremely disappointing dishes in Lima's Taste. None of them are even remotely good as you would find in the cheapest ceviche bar in Peru. Though I have to say that Lima's Taste has a good Causa and Lomo Saltado, and a decent Yuca with Huancaina. I went there with some friends who are also familiar with peruvian food, we all trusted the previous reviews of this restaurant. But we were let down. This place is indeed overpriced and overrated. Won't go back.

our food, drinks and desert were authentic and amazing, and the service was excellent. we had an amazing three-hour taste of peru with every bite more satisfying than the last. i especially recommend the lomo saltado and the pisco sours, although everything our group ordered was fantastic.

While we quite enjoyed Peruvian food in Peru we were very disappointed by Lima's Taste. Apart from the ceviche and the pisco sour which were quite good, the main dishes were mediocre and the lamb I ordered had so much pepper my taste buds went completely numb. Apart from the mediocre meals, the service was indifferent at best with a bored wait staff and a bill that took almost thirty minutes to get. The owner seems to be hovering around in an effort to salvage the situation but we won't be dining in this expensive pepper-galore restaurant.

This place is awesome. I've been to Peru and the food here is absolutely authentic. The ceviche was spectacular--lots of spicy, fresh fish. Someone at the next table ordered the lomo and I was amazed at the amount of food for the money. I went on a Saturday and they had a lunch menu, with any ceviche including a complimentary side salad. It's a good value. Go and don't forget to try the Pisco Sour.

I went to this place with my long time girlfriend and she loved it, food and service were great, "Escabeche" which I hadn't had for about 10 years was exquisite. Prices are ok!! highly recommend it to the true Peruvian and anyone who likes good and tasty food.
