    Not recommended

Wow...this place has incredibly small portions for a very high cost, and the quality is not good. Do not go! The rib entree is $25 and consists of 3 small ribs. The paellla was one shrimp and one piece of chicken and some rice for $26....it tastes worse than a frozen dinner. No crunchy crust on the bottom or anything, just really bland and bad. I have been living and dining in NYC for over 6 years and this is only the 2nd time I've felt compelled to write a review, it was that bad.

    Rude

This place used to have great service but now it sucks. Waiter was rude spilled water over me and walks away without apologizing and knocks my dates elbow with the plate without apologizing. Very cheap on the food and the waiter did not know how to speak english. This used to be one of my favorite spots but no more.

    Absolutely Fantastic

Lima's taste was, quite simply, fantastic. I had the Aji De Pollo and a pisco sour. Both were fantastic! The staff were corteous and I felt like part of their family! Thank you so much Lima's Taste!

    Dont Bother

My grandmother is Peruvian and every now and then I crave for the cuisine. I have wanted to go to this restaurant for the longest. Finally I was able to go. I was extremely disappointed with the experience. 1)When I arrived I did not feel welcomed at all by the proprietor. 2) When the waiter asked if we wanted drinks: I ordered a Chicha Morada, which is a tipical Peruvian drink. They stated they only had Inka Cola. A meal is not a meal without drinking a Chicha Morada! As a matter of fact another Peruvian entered the restaurat after I did and ordered a Chicha Morado only to be told they didn't serve it! 3) The ceviche tasted like they used bottled lemon juice rather than freshed squeezed lemon juice. It also lacked cilantro or the proper seasoning. I didn't even finish it. I had them pack it up so I could take it home and fix it! 4) When I left the restaurat their was no, "Thank you for coming, please come again," And I wont! If you want real Peruvian food you have to go to a Peruvian Restaruant owned by Peruvians!

    Subpar drinks

Ate there 3 nights ago and have to say their drinks were BARELY drinkable so we didn't bother ordering any other drinks. This is the 2nd Peruvian place I've eaten in and have to say I'm not a fan of it at all. I find it very tasteless. The inside was very cute and I loved the chairs.

    I know Peruvian food

This is a really good restaurant. I've eaten Peruvian food a lot in California and this was better than anything I had out there. The lomo saltado was beyond tasty. My boyfriend had the chicken escaveche which was also great. The quinoa salad with bacon was very original. Of course we had 2 pisco sours each and got buzzed.

    subpar!

As I was walking with my husband we came upon this place. Feeling excited at the prospect of gettting some yummy peruvian dishes we went in and were impressed with the decor. That's were it all ended. We got the menu, completely overpriced! But we figured as long as the food is good it'll be worth it. We ordered a Causa, it was super salty and full of mayo. We skipped a main dish and decided to order alfajores... how could they mess that up! Well... they did! Overall it was very very disappointing and yet one more restaurant that doesn't live up to how good peruvian cuisine is. OH! and the service is really poor! we had 2 people serving us at one point, they just kept randomly switching off... but for what we ate (one appetizer and one dessert) it shouldn't have taken us 1 hour and 1/2... Sadly the best thing we had while we were there was the Inka Cola, and that's because it came out of the can...
