    Not recommended for brunch

This place is awful for brunch. For $15, you get a choice of a bloody mary, mimosa or beer, plus an entree. Under no circumstances will they let you substitute juice for alcohol (which would only save them money and discriminates against those who don't drink). In addition, they were out of spinach for the omelettes and only offered onions or mushrooms. So, I ended up paying $15 for a spinach omelette with no spinach and for a drink that I did not drink. Ridiculous. I have never heard of such an unaccommodating restaurant in NYC. I'd be better off at Burger King where I can always have it my way. The owners and management should be ashamed.

    One of the best

Simply my favorite bar for every occasion. The crew at the bar is the best and most friendly in the city, the customers are always nice, music is great and if you ask for a liquor you feel the liquor inside your drink. My experience with the food is limited to a bite taken from a friend's burger but people who ate there said it was good. Love this place!

Beautiful Pub with good food specials

This is one of the nicest looking bars in NYC. The old school decor really adds great charm. Lunch and Brunch deals include a drink for only $10- its a great deal

    Inattentive Service, No Beer??

Food was not that good. Fish in the fish and chips was soggy and was only one piece. Fries were ultra salty. Only one waitress for all the tables in the back which meant that service was really slow and it was impossible to get her attention. Our food came out before our beers. And, it took three tries to even get a beer that they had not run out of...how do you run out of beer? I won't be going back. I wanted to like this place because of it's location and the atmosphere is great but the food just wasn't that good and the service was poor. too many other places in this neighborhood to waste time coming here again.

    Happy find

We just happened to pass by on a Sunday, thought it looked interesting, and gave it a try. For $10 each (including beer, bloody mary or mimosa - we substitued diet cokes) we had a very nice brunch. We resolved to come back for dinner.

    Great food!

Like most bars and pubs, the noise was overwhelming the Friday night I met friends at Lillie's. Some people like that.......I don't. However.......I still think very highly of this place because it had great great food. I had the chicken pot pie with a side salad and it was terrific......even the salad. Fresh and very tasty, light dressing. The pot pie had nice big pieces of white meat chicken, and just right veggies (not too crisp, but not mushy either) with a really good crust over it all. Everyone at my table also was so pleased with their dishes. I would absolutely reccomend if you are not into the loud, to go to this place for lunch, or dinner mid-week and just enjoy the food and the space. It's a pretty room, and the service, which was good on a busy Friday night, I'm sure is even better during slower times. I don't live far and will surely return and try some of the other offerings on the menu.

    Victorian Irish? It works!

At first I was a little off put by the traditional Irish band playing in the window. Seemed kinda cheesey, but that wasn't my experience at all. Just a really inviting and comfortable place for a meal or a few rounds from the bar. The decor is "Victorian Irish" which involves plush velvet booths, guilding, old photos in frames with a lot of scrollwork, and glass doorknobs. They pull it all off in a pub-type atmosphere. Still a couple flat screens to watch games, and plenty of beer (and Magners!) on tap. I had the fish stew and it was great. Service was attentive. With the great location to boot, I'll be back over and over again.
