An amazing meal
Lilla Cafe has the best pork tenderloin that I've ever had, then followed it up with some delicious bread pudding. The staff was friendly and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Highly recommend
Love this place. Been here a couple times now with my husband and son. The chef is clearly very talented and prepares each dish wth care -- this place has yet to disappoint! Portions are well sized. Love the seasonal menu. The atmosphere is very laid back and the service is attentive yet not overbearing. Pleasantly surprised by this place in the sea of underwhelming restaurants in the area. Becoming one of our go to spots. Highly recommend.

Really wonderful
Our dinner here was really over the top great. The food was delicious, the ingredients were all so fresh and the service was very friendly and attentive. They also have a beautiful back patio surrounded by their herb garden. Please also don't leave without having dessert. Everything was SO GOOD!

A find -- quality and atmosphere
We happened by chance on this modest Italian spot with its delightful garden and found everything just about ideal. From the home-grown herbs and house-baked foccacia to the fresh and tasty pasta dishes, it was consistently fine, with friendly service. Excellent value for the quality, and the garden is an oasis in an unexpected setting.

Love it!
Absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is elegant, tranquil and homey at the same time. This is excactly what the neighborhood needs. I've taken my clients here and really seemed to enjoy it. I cant wait for the nice weather so I can enjoy the garden in the back. I have never in my life tasted such heavenly food. I have been to many of the other restaurants and this is one is on the top of my list!!

Pleasantly Impressed
I'm a guy who typically likes to read up on every review and zagat rating before trying out a restaurant, but i was feeling adventerous one evening and stumbled upon this hidden gem of Carroll Gardens. From the moment I was given herbed butter and bread to my roasted amish chicken, my palate was rewarded again and again with flavors and fresh ingredients. I've gone back already since my first visit and the grilled octopus appetizer absolutely melts in your mouth. The raisin bread pudding was delicious but the Queen of Sheba dessert was the hands-down winner. A definite must-try. Lilla Cafe was a rather pleasant find. I am already planning my return trip.

Would not go back
Went here for a romantic evening as the place seemed to look nice from the outside. Overall an unpleasant experience. The menu is limited, the staff not helpful, and the food was not good. Ordered a hangar steak that was not even edible. Was looking for a nice meal out and left hungry.
