1 hour for pizza??!
I was v. disappointed after ordering from Lil Frankies, the pizza took one hour to be delivered! (I live 4 blocks away) It waa so sparse with toppings it was more like an interesting kind of bread than pizza and simply did not satisfy my pizza craving. Maybe its better when you eat in the restaurant, but Im not gonna take the risk!

Great every time!
Every time I eat at Lil Frankies I am reminded of why I go back. The atmosphere is great, and the food is always amazing. All of the pasta I've tried is mouth-wateringly delicious. One thing, definitely try the mussels. They are the best I've ever had no exaggeration. The pizza is good, but definitely not the best thing on the menu. If you're a gnocchi fan, don't miss it pomodoro-style. Divine!

Fantastic
Wonderful place to have a dinner for two. I would advise getting one of the very good pizzas to start, and then ordering your meal. The pastas were amazing and I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu that sounded good.

Wood Oven Roasted Chicken
The wood oven roasted chicken one of the best dishes I've ever had. Absolutely delish! Great atmosphere, good music. I love the little outdoor garden in the back. Great place for a date, and for a tasty meal.

Great Place!
I thought every part of this place was great. The atmosphere had rustic charm. The staff wasn't pushy and let us enjoy a leisurely early Sunday dinner, but was still attentive. The food I thought was amazing. I had one of the pizza sandwiches, and the quality and taste was excellent. Also, the bread served in the beginning of the meal and the olive oil was superb. I'm just sorry that I didn't get to see other parts of the place, including the backyard garden, since we decided to eat near the front in the bar area. I highly recommend it.

Anonymous Below is Wrong
Lil Frankies is, without argument, the best pizza in the East Village. There is no debate, if you don't like Lil Frankies, you have no palate at all. The sauce is tangy and wonderful and, while the service is slow, it has more to do with the massive amount of business they are doing than their competence.

Disappointing
It's not a bad place for a first date, mostly because of the location. Cute atmosphere. But when it comes down to the food I worry about what the other reviewers eat on a regular basis. Because this is NOT great pizza by any standard. They do a reasonably good thin crust but the sauce is bland and some of the ingredients are sub-par (like the mushrooms for example). The service is hurried. The delivery on the other hand is slow. And out the the 3 times I ordered in from there they got my order wrong every time. It's overrated and I no longer bother with it.
