    Honestly, it's awesome.

Humble, great value, nice people. It's had some road bumps, but Life Cafe is tried and true - waited a long time for the competition to arrive to the area, and now I like it more than I used to.

    This place is a joke.

A crappy iced-coffee to go was $2.75. The whole "cheap eats for artists" is some sort of zombie marketing campaign the owners have kept alive but it's a big fat joke.

Like the food, Hate the service...

I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, but if their delivery is an example of the service there, I never will. Unfortunately, I love their food if I'm craving something healthy. Its once of the few healthy delivery places in the area. The wait is never shorter than 45 min to 1 1/2 hours and recently they keep leaving items out, so in turn its another hour+ wait to get all of your stuff. In addition, most of the "hip" delivery people are way to cool to be bothered to walk up stairs to deliver. Can someone open something else in the area soon?

    fun atmosphere, good food

I really like coming to Life for the convivial atmosphere, the sense I can just chill out and have a beer or just get bar food or even upgrade to a pretty good steak. Lots of art around. Feels like home.

    This place should be closed

The only reason you go here is because there is nothing else in the neighborhood. It would be a big mistake! They use the lowest grade food that money can buy. The service is horrendous. It takes forever for you to get your food. Even if you order a burger at the counter, you could wait 20-30 minutes for it. The cooks seem like they never went to cooking school. The sandwiches always falls apart. The owner doesn't care about his patrons just making a buck off of desperate artists and her husband who draws his chalk pictures which are very nice.

    Okay food - poor service

If it weren't for the fact that they are so few other restaurants in that specific area, Life Cafe would be out of business. The food is decent, service is not - it's like a marching line of incompetents, one after another forgetting to bring your side of fries, another round of beers, etc. Though, the swiss, avocado and bacon on wheat is delicious.

    Got a new complaint....

Your staff should play music for people eating, not for people working. It was a discotheque while I was trying to eat.
