Will go again!
Very nice dinner last night at Lido. Decor is pretty and light and the food was high quality. Great arugula with pear salad, perfect size steak, terrific short ribs, and very good tiramisu. Staff was very attentive. On the pricey side for us to go too often, but we would definitely recommend it.

Worth a try
The food at Lido last night was a mixed bag: my crostino with tuna and capers was just wonderful, much more than the sum of its parts (they may have rubbed the bread with garlic before toasting). The main course gnocchi were a different story: pretty gummy, and with only two tiny pieces of the promised guancale. But, oddly, the service was so excellent and the atmosphere was so cozy that I would gladly go back. Our waitress was knowledgeable and funny, and the owner made it a point to drop by. Note that we went early -- 6:00 -- and by the time we left at around 8:15, the noise level had picked up considerably.

Should have gone to Harlem Tavern
This is not review I expected to write. I live on the upper west side and it was suggested a while back that I go here so I made the the trek. The food was poor and I wonder if they even have a chef working back there. I had the figs, mushy affair, the salads are the same. We shared a gnocchi that tasted like it was frozen and so salty I couldn't eat it. They furthered my palate abuse by sending us two more dishes that we ordered and should not have. Soft shell crabs and the salmon. You'd think with the name like Lido they'd know how to cook fish! The service is just as bad. I really hope they find some ray of hope get a new chef and a manager that can train the staff. Do not go here

Needs improvement
So excited about this restaurant opening up but when we finally got to visit, the food was disappointing. Hors d'oeuvres are good but the pasta is not freshly made and the salads were iceberg lettuce even though they were pricey--I expect better (and more nutritious) greens for $11. The atmosphere and service were great, they just need to improve the food quality and change to better and fresher ingredients. Once they do that, this place will be a welcome addition to the FDB restaurant row.

Wonderful Italian Fare in Harlem
What a find! A friend recommended Lido to me recently and it has quickly become my new favorite restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere is all perfect. We will keep returning.

Wonderful new restaurant
I've already been to this restaurant many times in the short time it's been open. It is wonderful, the atmosphere is inviting and elegant, the people are lovely, and most importantly, the food is exceptionally good. This place is worth a trip.
