Great Food, Subpar Service
I'm not sure what it is with restaurants around the brooklyn heights area, but if you want to go to a sit in around this area, expect horrible service (with a few exceptions). Lichee Nut, however, is no exception. The food here is actually really good. You can find almost anything you're looking for (chinese) on their menu, but if you live close--I recommend ordering in. If you go there, they hover over you the second you walk in waiting for an order. If you say "we need a couple more minutes" they come back less than a minute later (this has happened more than once to multiple people I know). Then it's absolutely impossible to get them to come back once your order is made to refill your water. Either way, the food is good here, regardless of the service. Just be prepared when you walk in there.

Good, Good, Good Food
I live in Staten Island and believe it or not I commute to Brooklyn, just for the food at Lichee. I am always impressed with the food and the service. Keep up the good work Lichee!!!

Best Chinese food in the Heights!
I have been going to this restaurant for 25 years. Though I no longer live in the Heights, when I visit friends, I always go back. The food is always tasty and reasonable. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about. It is actually below street level, so if the table is open choose the one in the front window. Once I had some out-of-town guests from Oklahoma that wanted Chinese food, so I took them to Chinatown. They loved it and wanted more Chinese food the next night. I didn't feel like jumping the subway to Manhattan so took them here, and they liked the food even more than from the Chinatown restaurant. lol

Juicy Buns!
Very good Chinese food, I've never had anything I didn't enjoy. The juicy buns are a must!

Incredible
If you are looking for a relaxed, cheap, nice asian restaurant, this is your place. the food is terrific, but not too greasy like most chinese food. it is family friendly, so if you do not want to spend a lot of money for a solid meal, take your family to lichee nut. excellent spot!
