I had ridden past this restaurant many times over the years and was determined to try it out. The food was very flavorful and the atmosphere was cozy despite some loud birthday revelers. The staff was nice when the actually visited the table, but the bar was slow and ordering drinks made us late for our next engagement. All of that said, I enjoyed the experiece, will go back and will be sure to mention the slow drinks when ordering to speed up the service.

This place needs to put their wait staff through some sort of training if they intend to stay open for very long. The service was terrible, rude, and you felt as if you were there to serve them rather than the other way around. Not a single "please" or "thank you" or "how is your meal" or "can I get you anything else." From beginning to end the service made this place unbearable and I will not return.

I usually get perfectly good service here, so based on the bad reviews on that front, it must vary by server. As usual. I come here regularly to grab one of their salads topped with steak. So delicious! I also love their wine list -- 3 different glasses of torrontes to choose from?! Heaven! I've had the empanadas and thought they were pretty bland. I would not recommend. The tuna carpaccio was good but not excellent. The place is a little expensive for what you get. I'm willing to pay for that salad I love every now and then, but it has to be a treat.

Had a blood sausage and steak for two with french fries - all excellent. Good wine and ambiance. Will definitely go again.

I know we're picky about restaurants because we're both chefs, but my husband and I were shocked last night when we had the steak for two. Really, it was grizzly steak for one, lacking in flavor. But the whipped, fake potatoes shocked us. Seriously? Potatoes from a box? The service was terrible from start to finish and my husband had to wait 10 minutes before hecould get someone to replace the broken water glass he was given. Save your money. Not the place for good beef or good service.

Ordered empanadas to start and got the wrong order, then moved onto short ribs (for my fiance) and salmon (for me). They brought out the wrong meal for him twice in a row before getting it right, and my salmon was overcooked. They apologized by taking the empanadas off of the check. It was a bizarre dining experience! And the $35 pitcher of mostly ice and fruit sangria was a total waste of money. The only thing that made this place remotely tolerable was the ambiance. It's very cute inside.

I have had drinks here before. Buzzed I ate an Empanada. It was excellent. For some reason it took me months to go back. IT WAS AMAZING. on a sunday afternoon the female server was kind, polite and helpful. The shrimp appetizer in the garlic butter concoction is outright addictive. The proscuitto Di Parma plate was expertly prepared and delicious. The empanadas were sublime. I went back with another couple...stayed for hours...drank for hours...ate for hours...everything amazing. The even had Averna to accompany my dessert. The male server was not as good as the female server but this is a minor hiccup in my future long history with this deliscious gem of the UES.
