Great time
I recently had an all you can drink birthday brunch on a Sunday at Libation for 25 dollars. We had a large party of about 30 people which would typically be a pain to plan, but the event planners made it very easy. Once we got there, the staff was beyond accommodating and attentive. The food was buffet style which actually was for the best because it got people walking around and mingling. Towards the end some tables were moved out of the way and there was some dancing. My guests had a great time and have been telling me so all week. We al had so much fun that I am planning on making it a yearly event. I would definitely recommend Libation for anyone who is planning this kind of event.

A Great Brunch Place!
We stumbled upon this brunch gem one weekend when the wait was over an hour at other "trendy" brunch places in the neighborhood. For $19 the brunch is a great deal! You get unlimited mimosas or bloody marys or, three drinks. The food is fine and the portions are not chintzy. They have a varied brunch menu so everyone in your group can find something to eat. We've been there over and over and still highly recommend this place for a Saturday or Sunday brunch.

$15 Bottle of Wine
Could not believe these prices. Not sure if it is the economy or this is their typical thing. I had the sea bass and a side of the mac and cheese, so yummy and reasonable! My friends and I polished off 6 bottles of wine when we found out they were only $15 a bottle. Staff was friendly and polite but the music does get loud! try them out at least for dinner.

Libation does everything well!
I went to Libation for brunch on Sunday and it was great! I love going there for weekend drinks and dancing, but I had never tried the food. Brunch was really good - tasty and filling with fresh fruit salad, too. It's hard to beat the price: $15 includes a choice from their brunch menu and 3 cocktails. I was very happy to know that Libation serves the best all the time. One of the reasons I keep going back: the staff is cool and friendly, always fun.

No character but okay food
I agree with previous poster in that this place seems really out of place and kind of weird on the lower east side. It is "slick" and kind of cheesy. The food was fine for what we wanted at that moment, inexpensive, fast and not too adventurous. I had the french onion soup and the southwestern chicken wrap - both of which tasted fine but were not exceptional. The seating was a little annoying as the booths are along the wall that has the PA system on it so these big speakers are pointing right at you as you eat (and try to talk to the people you are with) they are playing "clubby" music. I remember hearing JLo, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Steffani. We were in a bit of a rush, we decided to take a chance and it was fine. I wouldnt go back but I dont think it was so bad that I would tell someone "dont ever go there". The food was fine and relatively inexpensive and the waitress was nice. If you are looking for a place with some character though, this is not the answer.

Subpar food and service
I have to give a bad review to this place...while it might be a nice place to go dancing and have a few drinks -- dinner should definitely be in a different place. First of all the service was poor ...our waitress barely came up to us and when I asked her to change my drink -- mojito -- because the bartender forgot to put sugar in it but didn’t forget all the lime she felt compelled to make a joke about it to the bartender -- a little tip -- before you make fun of a customer make sure he/she cannot see you!!! Moving on to food -- it wasn't bad per se it was just tasteless, boring, bland....we all had to put a ton of salt and pepper into our dishes which still did not help much....and now price -- typical city price but my feeling is -- if you want to charge higher prices then you should train your staff much better and teach the chef about flavor....

An overall enjoyable experience
I found libation through menupages and wasnt sure what to expect- seemed like a good place. so i went out to get some dinner and drinks and when we got there we werent waited on at all we had to go looking for the hostess/ host. finally we find out that there are no tables in the actual resturaunt just a few tables by the door that was kind of secluded so me and my freind were annoyed by this but the staff made sure to make it up to us by catering with our first drinks on the house. our waitress was adorable and the food was great although not warm enough. the vibe and the ambiance was great and the prices were good. i will most definately be going back.
