Been fine dining a terrific amount lately, and my friend and I decided to go here for a late lunch. First off, a great thing, they serve all day, no breaks like so many restraunts. We were seated immediately and were waited upon a few minutes later, but that was where the good service from this one particular server ended. In all fairness, a few of the other servers appeared to be very attentive but the one we had just seemed to disappear and never come back. Nonetheless we didn't let it bother us as we were on no schedule at all. I order a mushroom appetizer that was fantastic, it tasted like a good beef wellington without the beef, really tasty. My friend had the brie which was strong with flavors and overall very good. I had the burger with fois (can't remember the name) and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was done perfectly, the meat had a really nice taste and the truffle sauce was equally tasty, combined with the fois that melted after a few minutes it was extremely good. The fries are also very good, a little more taste than usual. My friend at the cracked pepper steak that was very peppery but in a nice way. It had strong flavor but the meat was equally flavorful and overall a nice cut. It wasn't the best steak in the world, but there were certainly no complaints. Desert was a bit of a let down, we ordered a souflette that is usually a pretty solid dish but here was rather tasteless. It was the low point of the meal. Overall though the food was very good, and I can't wait to go back and try some different dishes. I just hope I have a different server lol. A solid value in terms of food quality.

We went for Sunday brunch at about noon and were seated immediately. However, we had to wait 10 minutes for a menu even after reminding the person who seated us. In the end, the person who seated the table next to us brought us our menus. When the waiter came around to take orders, he attended to the table next to us and opposite us but completely ignored us.

The Gratin De Macaroni is a delicious pasta dish with the perfect amount of gruyere and prosciutto. Served at the perfect temperature, this dish is wonderful from the first smell to the last bite. I've ordered this dish several times and each time, it has been impeccable. Another delicious favorite is the grilled chicken salad with halved tomatoes. The chicken is cooked to perfection, the tomatoes are marinated in a delicious dressing and though I prefer Iceberg lettuce, the leafy [select]ion of greens is undeniably one of the best salads I've ever had. The staff is very welcoming and always pleasant when I eat here with friends. There is always an energy in the air at Les Halles and if you're an out-of-towner looking for a true dining destination that's not too "cliche" for Manhattan, make the trip to Murray Hill to enjoy this dining spot. You won't regret it!

Enjoyed my dinner on Saturday night. Had the mixed grill and fries. They came right on time and were deliciously cooked. Started off with the most succulent mussels in wine sauce. I thought the service was perfect and the atmosphere was lively and just like eating in a typical Paris Bistro. The prices were around $80 per person with desert , tip and drinks. Good pricing and casual crowd have enticed me to go back again. It really hit the spot, all 3 of us agreed.

We found that the food was fairly decent upon dining here, but it didn't offset the poor service that we received all around. The condescending attitude was apparent from the hostess staff, the waiter, and all the way to the manager. We waited 20 minutes for water, the waiter spilled drinks all over our clothing with no apologies. The manager didn't try to make any real concessions as a result. we won't return.

We had anniversary dinner here, and although the food was great for the price (the cheapest steak for two we've had in the city) the atmosphere is not the most romantic. It is perfect for groups or even two couples having dinner together. Something great, if you don't finish your bottle of wine, you can take it home. Overall a very good experience at an affordable price (BTW for dessert get the crepe suzette!)

Went there for wedding anniversary. Came in at around 10pm and had a Hoegaarden at the bar, while we waited for a table. Great atmosphere with decor and music. Music level is loud enough to give some punch, but not too loud to talk. The bread and butter is amazing, the wine was great and not overpriced. The ribeye was so good without sauce or frill. The fries are fresh cut! Dessert was done table side with flame, and the staff was polite and did not rush us at all. Left after midnight and walked off the best meal i had in the city.
