    Great spot for lunch

Ordered the chicken parm hero for lunch -- it was VERY good. The chicken was fresh and the sauce was surprisingly good. Would definitely come back.

    not bad

I usually stop in here to get breakfast to go. The staff is always friendly and the service relatively quick. The only real complaint i have is that their breakfast sandwiches (i usually get egg whites and cheese on a roll) are never hot enough. The cheese doesn't melt all the way and it's just lukewarm. I always have to nuke it in the microwave when i get into the office. And no, the sandwich didn't cool down on the way, it's not that hot right when I receive it. I have only tried lunch there once. I ordered a wrap, and it was tasty but the price was a bit much for what i got.

You're all crazy - Lenny's is the best

Lenny's sandwiches some of the best around. I've never had their salads, but this is a sub shop. I order from here all the time, their quick, they store your address so it's easy and the usually deliver quicker than promised. When I pick up it's clean. Not sure what type of atmosphere people want in a deli.

    Upper management pay attention

We used to order lunch almost every day. Not anymore! Too much aggravation. The order was never complete, some item always missing. I understand they (the staff) are not brain surgeons but when you accept a job at whatever rate, you should do a good job regardless. When you ask to speak to the manager he/she is never available. We enjoy the food and now order once in a while. Just yesterday we ordered two sandwiches while at the deli. Left and found out later that one was correctly prepared while the other was not. Three days ago two items were left out. In all fairness when we call they offer to deliver the missing items but if you are driving away somewhere that is not possible. The food is good, the front line is good but it falls apart when it gets to the staff preparing the food.

    Best Sandwiches in New York

Jimmy is right, get the #2 hero. It's sad to say, but the person above is wrong, there are no real delis left in new york, just korean markets and crappy "delis" which make horrible, horrible sandwiches on terrible, terrible bread. I understand Lenny's is a chain, which depresses me, but they started in NyC on the UWS in the 80's. They've trained their empoyess (and face it, do you expect them to be brain surgeons for minimum wage?) have always beeen fine with me. They are better than anything else around.

    disappointing

Though I was excited to see a new salad / sandwich place in my neighborhood, I was very disappointed by my first (and last) visit to Lenny's. Though the ingredients were fresh and the setting seemed very clean, I was shocked at the minuscule amount of food that my $10 bought (I purchased a salad with 4 mixing -- none of them meat or cheese). To make it worse, the container was barely even half full!

rude and unhelpful staff, decent food

If the sandwiches weren't so good, I'd never go back. In fact, if there were any other good sandwich shops in the area, I'd never go to begin with. The staff is rude, pushy, and often incompetent. Whether it's delivery or in person, the staff will ask you for your order, only to absolutely BUTCHER it by giving you the wrong sandwich or forgetting things you ordered or adding things you didn't. Since this has happened to me several times, I try to make sure my order is correct. Inevitably, these attempts are meet with brash attitude and a scathing sense of entitlement made nauseatingly worse when they still get the order wrong. Decent food, but they have a lot to learn...
