Love food but Hate service
I am Chinese and so happy that we have legend around the corner. I don't like fast food Chinese. Thats fake chinese food... like General Tao chicken... yuk. This feels like home food! Please don't order the Vietnamese or Beef with Broccoli... besides Beef with Broccoli is also not real chinese food. Order only Sichuan food and you won't be disappointed.

Poor service
I waited 1 and 1/2 hr to have my food delivered to my apt 1 block away. I called and they kept hanging up on me and saying its coming and we are busy. Plus, I don't end up getting my appetizer which I paid $8.95 for when I opened my bag. I called and they argued with me then gave me credit for it. Run away and don't order delivery from here!

Mediocre
Have been here twice. Beef with broccoli had beef that was a little tough and the broccoli florets were not fresh.

what was that?
this is the quickest review i have ever written after eating. I hesitated ordering in from this place because all chinese delivery in nyc sucks. And Legends is no different. All we did was order simple veggie dishes, one with noodles, but the noodles never made it and the other was just mixed veggies which seemed to be braised in vaseline. Needless to say we threw this out within minutes. Legends is now legendary in our books.

getting worse
started out as a neighborhood favorite then quickly plummeted to bottom of the line in quality, freshness and taste. The chef must have one sauce then adds spice for the heat and gobs of sugar. And what is the flavor of thinly shredded chicken? Or was that shredded cardboard? Definitely to be avoided, try Sammy's or Chinatown instead.

poor food of late
This used to be a great place. I usually do takeout. But the last two times I ordered out, it almost felt like the food came from another planet! Something's different. The chef has likely changed. Will not be ordering again from here.

One of the best
We picked this place on internet randomly. The place was filled with people looked as though they were regulars. We ventured out to order two dishes marked with two hot peppers: Mapo Tofu and Crispy Shrimp; and two non-spicy: Chicken Soup. They are just amazing. I like the decor of this place too. Its Asian elements are elegantly presented, which is rare in a usual Chinese restaurant.
