I just got back from taking advantage of their 8 coupon deal (your choice of a fried oreo or zeppole for only $0.08!)...and if I had the time or calorie count I'd be on my way back for seconds! The shop is uber cute...the staff is attractive and gracious...the prices are beyond reasonable...and it's next door to Artichoke. How can you beat it? I had the best cream puff I've ever eaten in my life! You bite into an ever so slightly crispy outside before noming on the chewiest, most supple inside which absorbed the cream as is began to melt (they make it all fresh as you order it, folks! No reheated friedness here!). The tradition zeppole had the same balance of crispy chew. I didn't get the oreo...but I'll probably go back for it. And the guy behind the counter patiently yet swiftly handled 8 screaming, barely pubescent monsters demanding spins of the free wheel and constantly changing their orders. Hmm...let's see...hot dude who is good with kids AND serves me fried goodness??

I've only had their outrageously good cream puff—a light cloud of deep fried dough, with a nice crunchy, slightly crystallized powdered sugar on the exterior, filled with a flavorful, rich, almost pudding-like cream filling—but have now made plans to revisit often from way up on the UES to try everything else! (Actually, the server was sweet and kind enough to offer me a taste of the PB&J ice, which was spot on as well!)
