Went this evening with high expectations having known about the restaurant for years. The appetizer I chose was grilled gem lettuce Cesare salad, not to my liking but decided that I had not ordered well. The server was solicitous and offered a substitute. I asked to try the chicken consumme eagerly looking forward to rich chickeny flavor. It was poor, flavorless watery bland! So disappointed. The hanger steak entree was excellent as were the accompanying pommes boulangere. I can't believe that they can't make a decent consumme. Won't be returning.

Amazing food at really low prices! Amazing service as well. French food at its best!

Went last night. I expected food on par with other culinary school restaurants which are generally off the charts. The food was really average. I wouldn't take a cooking course at this school. Service was poor as well.

Visited L'Ecole few days ago...food was excellent , I highly recommend the wine pairing option...Had Charcuterie Plate as appetizer it was incredibly delicious and paired perfectly with Riesling. My girlfriend had the Pork belly, also delicious but onion ring pieces on it were way too salty ( and I love salt)...our Entree was stupendous! we had the duck and lamb both were small portions but incredibly rich so obviously portions will not be huge. We had the chocolate cake w/Ice cream and Cheesecake extremely decadent and delightful..we got a Creme' Brulee on the house since we were celebrating a b'day so that's always great....I will say I was not super impressed with service ( despite the fact that we did get a free desert) ...I felt our waiter could have been more attentive ... they were very courteous when interacting with us but did end up having multiple waiters which was a bit confusing... they were super busy so that may explain the not so wonderful service...overall an excellent experience

Took my friend out for her birthday. It was our first time in L'Ecole and we just loved it. We ordered four-course prefix dinner and for the quality of food and such personal service it's definitely the best deal in town. We were really impressed - the place is warm, unpretentious. Will be back for sure.

The $28 prix fixe lunch is one of the best deals in town. The menu is very intersting and varied- the service is charming and warm and the food was absolutely terrific! Not enormous portions-but more than adequate. Lovely garnishes and veggies- super desserts and a wine list that offers options . The comments around the room were basically shock and awe at how great everything tasted. Don't miss it!
