    Nice change

I work in the area so probably eat here about once a month, and I've yet to be dissapointed. Their Pate appetizer is excellent and usually enough food for a regular lunch. Their fixed price lunch is an excellent deal and will leave you feeling full. Nice enough atmosphere and outdoor seating available.

    Pleasant Surprise

My friends and I went to Le Singe Vert on the fly and I am extremely glad we did. The atmosphere and service were great. The food was better than I had expected. Escargot was delicious, the steak was a winner (cooked exactly as I ordered it!), and the chocolate creme for dessert was the perfect end. Oh, and the bread they serve... awesome! The next day I was still thinking about how nice the experience was...

The best French bistro in NYC!

This is my favorite French bistro in NY. The food is absolutly amazing. The portions are defenitely adapted for America (which means big) but thats good! Their best dish: steak frites... yummie! It can be very loud, because it is a small place and a lot of tables, but somehow in this case ity is a good thing, the atmosphere is great. Sometimes it is hard to get a good table though, mostly you are right on top of your neighboors, but don't let that put you of! It is medium priced

    Loud and clear

The food is clearly great Great portions, fresh and clean. I had the poached salmon with leeks and roasted vegetables. You can taste each entity without any of the flavors blending together. And if you do decide to combine it's still good- nothing overwhelms one another. The atmosphere is however a bit too loud I was straining to hear my friend and I was practically raising my voice a notch higher as the evening progressed. I think the seating outside would've been better but if you like the casual bustling of conversations and tableware clinking, it's your place.

The food is incredible. I wish they had delivery service b/c I would order from here everyday.

    Rude service

I ate at Le Singe Vert twice. The food is good, but the restaurant is very loud and crowded. However, the reason why I'll never return is because my friends and I were asked to leave quickly because of another reservation. We had just ordered dessert! This is the second time of my life and very long experience of eating in all kinds of restaurants, that I've experienced such rudeness.
