    Beyond disappointed

I am so disappointed in this place. My girlfriend and her friends have lived in Chelsea for 10 + years and have been going here the whole time. I learned tonight that there is a new chef who is removing the hamburger from the menu, but they were kind enough to make one for us tonight, however they refused to make sautéed onions and mushrooms which they used to make and were amazing at. The next problem was my steak came out well done when I asked for it to be rare. Thats a stretch. How can a guy removing a burger from the menu to upsell to the steak not make a steak the way it was asked. To add insult upon injury the waitstaff charged us for 5 drinks they didn't bring to us. Basically they were entering them into the computer and the service team was supposed to bring them to us and never did. The bill was somewhere between $50 and $75 dollars padded and since I didn't pay I didn't figure it out until I got back home. I am fuming and will never go back. Halloween is no excuse for poor service or poor cooking.

    used to be good

this place used to be great - especially as the "go-to" neighborhood spot. however, since they changed the decor and menu (which, there was no reason to do either), its gone downhill and sadly has not been the same since. the staff (and that includes management) is now rude and lazy, plus they seem to change all the time anyway. i miss the old le singe vert, there is no reason to go to this one.

    Not worth it

From the outside, the restaurant seemed an affordable and appetizing place. However, once seated we had to wait a while for service and had to ask for the bread after realizing it was gratis. Then the food took a very long time and we only saw the waiter when he took our order and when he delivered the check. I don't think I will return as there are a lot of options in the area.

    Not so great service

The waiter asked us too many times for our food order, without asking for the drink order. I finally had to call him over for a glass of wine and he ran away without asking anyone else if they wanted somehting. He seemed rushed to put in the food order. Bread plates were asked for and forgotten. The restaurant was not even full and the service just seemed off.

    Subpar

Burnt coffee, poached eggs with no yokes, brown looking salmon, and water that smells like it came from the spigot outside.

    Lively & Delicious

A friend & I made our way down to Chelsea after a movie for a bite to eat. She had been to this bistro on previous occasions but this was my first visit. Loved the liveliness of this restaurant. The place was very full but we were seated within a couple of minutes. Our waiter was very attentive but not overbearing & pestering, which I hate. He was very knowledgeable about the wine list and gave great suggestions. We had the steak tartar & the beet salad, both delicious. For the main course I had the duck. I have had better, but it was still great and my friend had the lamb, which was fantastic. The atmosphere is great. If your looking for a quiet, demure place to eat don't go here. It packed, jumping with lively conversations and loud. I loved it. I will definitely go back. People who complain that this place is too small and too loud?? Your in NYC. Stop whining. Some people just have a need to complain. Before you even get to the restaurant you can hear the noise so don't go in if you have an aversion to liveliness.

    Subpar Service

Went for Brunch yesterday with a few very laid back + undemanding friends. The service was basically non-existant for long stretches of time. The place was not at all busy and they appeared to be pretty well-staffed- al of whom seemed more interested in hanging out together and 'performing' at the bar.
