Le Petit Cafe

This is my "fantasy vacation" spot to relax, eat great food and pretend I'm sitting in the perfect little french bistro, somewhere in a garden full of fanciful lights, waterfalls and cobble stones. After a hectic week, I look forward to the occasional brunches on quiet early Saturday mornings or the busier Sunday lunch hour. ALWAYS bring a friend or family and NEVER disappoints. Kids love the environment, especially the "make a wish" water pond in the back of the restaurant. Service tends to be slow, but don't really mind. I am not rushed out of seats nor do I rush to escape" from "my mini "fantasy.

My boyfriend and I stopped in after work. We've been wanting to try it for years. What a let-down. How can you call yourself a french cafe/bistro and not create truly uthentic and delicious Coq au Vin? They added broccoli on the side! We will never go back not even to try breakfast/brunch.

The Panini's, salads....everything was perfectly cooked - fresh and delicious. It's a very pretty restaurant. We will definitely be back - and do recommend it.

Food is awesome. You may have to wait a while for it however.

For me and my boyfriends first date a year ago we went to le petit and it was amazing the food was great the service was amazing. So we went again one year later for our anniversary but this time the steak was nothing more then flavorless FAT and the waiter disappeared for the majority of our visit only to return with a nasty attitude only thing that is a positive about this place is the atmosphere I will not be returning

i have been going to this place over the years and it is a good local place for brunch. beautiful outdoor space is the draw. was here for a wedding recently and presented with a bill at the end of the meal for drinks, including $9.50 for two sodas! now, i am not blaming the restaurant entirely for this, however i had given tips to a couple of waiters to ensure good service and was never told that it was a cash bar. strange way to treat customers that were already being overly kind to the staff. no mention of the cash bar on invite..

Been going to this place for the last 3 years and the consistency is the same. I've never been disappointed. And the ambience is to die for. One of the best kept secrets in Caroll Gardens. Love this place.
