Awesome waffle and good service
I ordered the leige waffle from this place. I don't usually love whipped cream but this one is tasty and light enough without feeling guilty while you're eating. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing Poffys!
This place has AMAZING poffertjes (poffys), which are small dutch pancakes. Le Petit Belge is the only place i've been able to find poffertjes in NYC so I'm willing to pay the price-about $4 per cone of poffys + extra for toppings-which is a bit pricey. There is no where to sit so be prepared to take your food and go on a walk or over to union square to eat. Definitely try the poffys though!

Worth it?
I'd been lookin' for a good liege waffle since havin' on a couple years ago in Paris. I'd heard and read about how good Wafles & Dinges fare is. But unfortunately, the Wafles & Dinges truck and I never seemed to be at the same place at the same time. So I was very excited to hear about this Belge place...as they're immobile. The first couple of times I went, I loved the service and the atmostphere. Modjo was blasting from the speakers and I think the guy who took my order was French too. I thought the waffles were kinda pricey though at $3.50 a pop. The price was enough to keep me away for about a month, but the taste of those waffles keeps me goin' back. My last couple of visits, Americans have been servin' me. Downgrade. Joints like Tea & Sympathy and it's next door neighbor, A Salt & Battery have me spoiled. Now when I visit these Euro spots, I wish to be served by authentic Europeans or my experience is tarnished. Back to the waffles, they have a very distinctive taste and texture. I prefer them sans toppings as the toppings take away from the flavor of the waffles. When I tell them that I'd just like a plain waffle, I'm always asked a 2nd time if I really want it plain and I get looked at like I have two & 1/2 heads. I think if you like liege waffles or are just curious, it's worth tryin' atleast once.

Food OK, but very disappointing
I've gotten waffles here several times, and they're always too doughy (not as awful as wafels & dinges, but still not good.) 75 cents per topping is way too much. The service is sub-par, and there is always extremely loud music playing for no apparent reason. Not much ambience...definitely doesn't capture the charm of Belgian waffle vendors, nor the waffle themselves.
