I had out of town relatives visiting and staying in midtown, so the 58th/7th ave location was perfect! I was already a fan, but now I'm sold and spreading the word!!! The total experience is really wonderful, from the delicious organic menu, to the rustic ambiance, to the charming service! (fyi, very impressed by the immaculate bathroom on a busy saturday) I highly recommend the shrimp salad with mango and avocado. For dessert try the mixed berry tart-FANTASTIC!!! Even the managers were smiling!

Food was fantastic. Solid quality, REAL Belgian waffles! The sweet ones, nice and crunchy. Tasty spreads! Everything is FRESH! Definitely get your money's worth. Our server was very unfriendly, but it seemed they were shortstaffed, so maybe he was having a bad day. Who knows. In any case, definitely going to go back for brunch. Cute weekend brunch place to go read the morning paper while sipping on your coffee and tasting french pastry delicacies!

.... and it's great. I have eaten in a number of their restaurants and have yet to be disappointed. The Vegetarian Salad (3 cheeses) is great, organic eggs awesome, coffee just OK, blueberry muffins and pain au chocolat superb and tarts worth taking home. Quality is always top class and once you fold up strollers kids are welcome too. Only surprise is not offering Moules and Frites - strange move for a beligan joint.

I had lunch at the location on 1st btwn 71-72. Very nice atmosphere - French cafe feeling with several tables with European customers. Great pastries and bread. We also ordered the cheese plate - $14 for six different cheeses and six pieces of bread (variety). It was PLENTY for three or four people to share as an appetizer and it was all very good. The only disappointing part was that we ordered a salad that is listed as a shrimp, avacado and MANGO salad. When we got it, the mango was completely un-ripe and unedible. We asked the waitress if they had any better and she very rudely said no and that it was intended to be a "garnish", even thought the menu listed mango as one of the main ingredients in the salad. She said they weren't in season - they are. I have passed hundreds of ripe mangos this week at fruit stands. A DIFFERENT, much nicer waitress later brought us some mango that was better, but still not great. Anyway, that was the only down-side (except for the tiny dead bug in our butter dish, but I overlooked that). I will go back, but will ASK FIRST if ordering anything with fruit.

I fell in love with this place because of their baked goods. Yesterday, I got the brownie, which is huge and damn good. The blueberry muffin is also fantastic. I've only had a sit-down meal there twice, but both times were fabulous. The servings are pretty large. My favorite part is that it's all organic. I like it because the food is so good, that people like my friend who don't care about organic food, eat there.

If you haven't been to any of the Manhattan locations (I think there are about 5) you are truly missing a gem. This place is fabulous and the euro crowd and the out of this world coffee will transport you to Paris in a heartbeat. Wonderful sandwiches, great pastries... you can't miss it!!!
