I work around the corner so take out lunch here all the time. Every time I have a take out salad I kick myself after. They put like 4 pieces of lettuce in their take out salads. For $14 for a salad they should be giving way more lettuce then they do! I am

Service has been really mediocore on the most of the 8-10 times my husband and I have been there (we live on the block). Food is OK, atmosphere can be noisy.

The bread basket is full of a variety of delectable breads served with butter and jams. The coffee is hot and the service is quick if you get there early on the weekends. Wonderful change from the standard bagel fare on the UWS!

If you go on the weekend, it's an hour wait for a seat. That said, the breads are fabulous and the food is fresh and delicious. You have to share tables though. When it's so crowded, service can be a bit harried.
