Enjoyable experience
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch. Wait staff was attentive and the breads were delicious. Portion size was adequate and all the ingredients were quite fresh. I especially liked the ricotta and fig tartine. The only negative was that one of the 2 washrooms was out of servivce.

bring $$
This is THE model for the purveyor of over-priced coffee, salads and soups. The soup they're so vocal about being vegan and salt-free ( and taste --free) is nuked in a microwave in the back. I caught them doing it when I took some out. It really makes one wonder: why make fresh pea, corn or broccoli soup and then nuke it, killing any nutrients? The baked goods are authentically French, the baguettes are great, but so expensive. This place is frequented by predominantly well-heeled neighbors from Fifth Ave. They want something safe and predictable and will pay amply for it. Just watch out for that soup!
