Is this what the city is willing to pay

This review is definitely going against the general reviews on Le Pain, but I had lunch at Le Pain and was not impressed at all. Of the 5 of us at lunch, 1 said they really liked their meal... the rest were impartial or did not like the meal. Although I would say the ingredients were fresh, it was masked by the overpriced meals and lack of service. In summary… Overpriced. Service was mediocre at best. Bread was excellent though. How do places like this have chains across the city and the good ones can’t afford to say in business…

    Poor service

I actually like the food here, and the Belgian brownies are off the hook. But the service at this particular branch is so bad I don't think we'll be heading back again. They are VERY disorganized today we couldn't get our food, beverages, water or the check. I had to actually go get the water and pour it myself! That's twice in a row that this has happened. They need to get it together here.

    Pretty good place

This place presents a great atmosphere, but the service has varied for me. At the one on 7th, the service has never been that good, but at the one up town (70-something?), it was great. The food is good, but it won't blow you away. I had the platter of bread and it was pretty good, as was the cheese platter.

    Best location in the city!

Always fresh, always great service... even though it's a chain I love the intimate atmosphere this location provides!
