    Business Lunch

I had to have kosher food delivered to Del Frisco's and Le Marais did an excellent job. They packed everything according to jewish laws and the food was absolutley amazing for being served out of restaurant!-- I Highly recommend this place.. I has The beef jerky to start which is a little pricy- but like no other beef jerky I have ever tasted. and then I had the prime rib which was cooked perfectly. try it out.

Le marais is amazing the food is great the wine and beer selection is wonderful it's just a great restaurant no doubt. People that rate it negatively don't know steak-i'm a carnivor, i love meat and let me tell you the steak is great order it rare with a bottle of chianti (italy)-happy time

    Used to be better

As a UK visitor to NYC, I have eaten at Le Marais for more than 10 years. And each time I have the Steak Au Poivre. It is one of my favourite meals in the City, along with the food at Tevere. However, the last couple of times the steak has been disappointing. Last night I asked for it medium and it came barely cooked. And of course I am now feeling stupid because, being British and reticent, I didn't say anything. And the waiter didn't ask why I had left a large part of my steak. Such a shame because it used to be something I looked forward to each visit. I will give it one more try....

Great, late dinner on Nov. 12, 2006

After the theatre, four of us had a very late dinner here. It was packed, noisy and fun. All 4 of us had a wonderful dinner. Two of us had the beef medallions with fries. It was awesome. One had Salad Nicoise and the other, filet with fries. All four of us agreed that it was a wonderful meal and not too $$ even with a lovely bottle of wine. Don't know why so many bad reviews are posted. It was a great night!

    Low Quality

The service is erratic, the quality of the meat is poor and grainy though it can occasionally compare to Prime Grill which varies on different nights. The atmosphere is loud and seating is cramped.

    Good Steakhouse

I keep Kosher, and the only place that compares to Le Marais for a good steak is Prime Grill. The negative reviews are unwarranted; I have always found the service to be fast, the steak to be very good, and the atmoshpere is loud and fast, but not unpleasant.

    What is the hype?

My wife took me here for my birthday. What a disappointment. Thee was a strange odor in the place, the decor is rather blah and the room is quite loud. We both ordered the rib eye and though I ordered medium rare and my wife ordered medium, the steaks were cooked the same. The fries were heavily salted and the service was deathly slow. $135 bucks with dessert and tip, what a waste!
