Best Steak NYC a must go!

Big portions and it is not expensive AT ALL for what you get and for a steakhouse in NYC especially a kosher restaurant. I am not even kosher but I would choose to go here any day. Meats are cooked exactly how you ask them to be. They are juicy and tender a great value for $30. I do not understand what the other comments under me are talking about although it may be crowded its a perfect restaurant for a family dinner or a date. Obviously you do not order spaghetti at a steakhouse yes it will be over priced and not amazing! Its French not Italian!! And a kosher restaurant that serves meat will not serve dairy

    Cattle car service

The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is awful. The noise level is very high and the tables are on top of each other. The waiter appeared to be hurried and wanted us out as quickly as possible. A very disappointing experience.

Steak & Fries in Theater District

Girlfriends and I stumbled into Le Marais before the theater. It appeared to be a french bistro-type restaurant and then were surprised to find it was kosher after finally noticing all the yarmulkes. We had perfect steak and frites for $19.50(well done, medium and medium rare) as well as a chicken dinner ($21) All were well presented, tasty and well presented. Very busy & full on a Thursday, but had fast service as we were there just before 6. Would recommend for kosher and those who are not.

I know where the word schmuck comes from

$60 for two plates of spagehetti and a salad with only lettuce. At least they threw in bread. Don't ask for cheese the place is against it. Portions were tiny. Only thing I saw ordered that looked good was steak and french fries.

A great place with great taste

I have heard many suggestions to try this pace over the past year. I finally decide to try it out. A place for dates or the family. My date and I loved it. The lighting (just perfect), the food adn the service were all wonderful. I have never written a review before but I felt I should share this one. The food was great quality and taste. I had the streak, she had the chicken- both were superb.

    Needs work

The food is not bad but the rest is. The service is very poor, the ambiance terrible and the price is above average. You pay a high price but get nothing for it. It's not worth it!
