We found this restuarant after walking around the Village on a very hot day. It was cool and quite, a romantic place to have lunch. The salad nicoise was wonderful. A superb combination of vegetables and tuna. The service was friendly and gracious. The atmosphere Parisian. Handtowels in the restroom a nice personal touch. Bon Appetite!

If you are in search of a small romantic French bistro in West Village, look no further. I have been dining at Le Gigot for the past seven years and can honestly say it's one of the best dining experiences in the Village. I frequent "off the beaten path" restaurants in NYC weekly and always compare the dining experience to Le Gigot. If you decide to try it, you must order their crabcakes (no filler!) for an appetizer, and the brioche bread pudding for dessert. Make a reservation, I think there are only 25 or so seats. Enjoy!
