    Disappointed

I love their food, but always unimpressed with the service. It takes forever to get here, and honestly pretty overpriced. I ordered the shell steak and it turned out to be $4 more expensive than it was on the menu, and basically all gristle-y fat that was totally inedible. I ordered today and an hour and a half passes by...no food. When I call, she said she didn't get the apartment number and was trying to call me... my phone was beside me all morning with full service. Won't be ordering from here again.

    Change is Bad

I'm so disappointed with the change in ownership. I used to visit Le Gamin every weekend. The new Le Gamin has lost it's charm. The interior isn't as cozy as it was. And the food isn't as good. I'm sad to see my favorite place go...

    New owner makes good

I never write reviews, but I'm making an exception. Le Gamin is now Great! The nice little French restaurant used to be at best decent... but since the new owners took over the food is great. The food is absolutely yummy and the wine selection is small, but very good.

    change is good

I just read the review that mr foodie wrote. I think he should find a new place because he is nuts. yes there is change but the food is better and the service is 20 times better. Also this place has added a great dinner menu and let me tell you if you think that breakfast and brunch are great what until you try the fine wines and the selection of specials that have been put together.

    bummer

If you have eaten here in the last 2-3 weeks you will notice a different menu, management and decor. This was our 'go-to' brunch place and we are so sad to see it go. Yes the service was slow before, but the food was excellent and the coffee was good and strong. The best eggs benedict in the neighborhood just got downgraded to slop. They have basically tried to continue the same menu but with a different kitchen staff and ingredients of obviously lesser quality. We went from an average of 2-3 weekly visits to having to say goodbye once and for all. It just isnt what it used to be. Not sure if it is affiliated with the other "Le Gamins" in town but whatever the case this place just took a nosedive. The only good thing in an ironic twist is that when we visited after they re-opened under new management, the service was way better. But as we all know, bad food in a hurry with a smile is still bad food. Again, we are sorry to see the old Le Gamin go.

    Slow Service / Mediocre Food

I took a group of my buddies here recently and was quite disappointed. Aside from the service being quite slow / unhelpful our food took way too long to arrive. Then when my crouque madame finally arrived it had 1 little piece of ham on it. I don't plan to go back, my friends made me buy them drinks for the rest of the night after taking them to this place!
