Ordered what was described as gazpacho with lobster.but received a watery broth with a slight hint of lobster essence but no actual lobster all g with s few sci ced radishes and very few tiny tomato pieces.it was neither a gazpacho nor a lobster anything. .after a few bites i left it uneaten the service was cold and unsmiling.. Wheni expressed my opinion quietly.the was neither apologized for the bad description nor offered anything other than that's what the chef calls it. No managent was told and we left unhappily..other food ordered was just so so

Forget the fact that we arrived at 9:15 for our 9:30 table and we weren't served until after 11 pm. Never mind the fact that it took 45 minutes just to order a bottle of wine. So what if when they finally brought the food the seabass was salmon. None of this would have motivated me to write my first negative review on a blog if it weren't for the nasty attitude of the management. The owner should pay attention to the staff that he leaves in charge when he is not there. As they cranked up the music and danced around the bar, we were inundated with bad attitude, bad food and the worst service that I have ever experienced on any of the four continents where I have lived. The clincher was when they offered us 'free' risotto as a consellation for the hour and a half wait for the wrong food. Oh joy... I don't do carbs. When I explained that I would prefer a glass of wine since we had spent the last hour sipping an entire bottle of wine, I was given a glass of cheap champagne. I explain that I prefered a glass of red and finally received it at the same time as the bill . . . and I was charged for it. Jouer au bilboquet ne fut pas une partie de plaisir!

Yesterday, in the rain, under the awning outdoors, I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. This cozy, delicious place is a treasure on the UES on 63rd.. The food was excellent; the service attentive. Other reviewers have, I believe, mistaken a staff that expects dining to be a leisurely experience with one that propels hit and run eating. I can't wait to return.

Unbelievably ridiculous, that any service organization can believe that they can disregard the customers, make them wait for no reason, because the place was NOT busy at all, and can not accept a person to pay someone else's bill. With so many great restaurants in NY and the world, no reason to visit this one

My fiance and I ate there on 6/6/11, and the food was great (get the cajun chicken!!) . The staff was friendly and, on whole, the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. It is very small inside, so it you get fussy about your space or are claustrophobic, ask for a seat near the door. Music is a little loud too at times. Toward the end of the night it quieted a little. We went there expecting rude waiters (we thought it would be fun, believe it or not), but were met with nothing but friendliness. Go there.

My first ever review but I am fired up. After waiting an hour in the cold the host asked if he can gets us a drink. When the bill finally came the host proceeded to say that he offered to get us a drink not buy us a drink. In this economy you have to thank him for allowing you into his restaurant?
