I had a dinner at Le Bernardin in December with family. We all had the Chef's tasting. Impeccable. The sommelier suggested incredible wines by the bottle. Each course dazzled. Then dessert-the best chocolate egg I have ever experienced. The only flaw-the pace of the meal was rather quick, with no time to savor before dessert, coffee was not suggested, nor was cheese, and the check was dropped prior to our request. Not appropriate for any meal, let alone one for 1600 dollars.

My sister and I lunched at Le Bernardin on January 26, 2006. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and the food was heavenly. Of course we had fish; the Hawaiian white tuna was sublime. We have decided to return often, and try everything on the menu.

I too, along with so many others here, celebrated my 40th here (it's almost creepy). I'm still dreaming about the amazing meal I had here. I really can't recommend it more and I can't wait to go back and try the tasting menu. Eating here is an experience.

Certainly one of the best restaurants in New York. Food was cooked to perfection and presented flawlessly. Although, I can't really say that we saw fireworks when we tasted it, everything was certainly delicious. The staff gets top grades for being very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The sommelier had perfectly matched our wine selections to complement our food. The overall atmosphere was quite pleasant, the restaurant felt airy with diners not sitting on top of each other, and the warm colors provided a soothing and cozy atmosphere.

I took the last reviewer's advice and had my 40th here as well. The staff actually cares that you are enjoying your meal. They actually make you feel special. The pride, the quality. It shows. My 1st 4 star experience. This is the place to go for anyone who has never eaten at a 4 star restaurant. The wait staff was extremely friendly, sensitive and attentive. They moved like a symphony. The food, tender and tasty. I had never had raw fish before, was horrified. But when I placed a piece of that tuna in my mouth, I melted into my chair. The flavorings that Chef Ripert has come up with.....wow! I had the scallops with Crabmeat for the 2nd course and Stripe Bass for the 3rd. I actually wept when I left. The experience - divine. Folks.... 4 people with 7 drinks and the 95.00 prix fix = 568.00. Not bad for Zagat's best rated food ane the best service. (They just may be right!)

I had worked in this building many years ago and when given the opportunity to have my 40th b-day party anywhere I chose Le Bernardin. I was lucky enough to get the best table in the house and the serice was spectacular. My favorite people were there and the night was magical.

We ate an amazing dinner at this delightful restaurant last week while visiting NY City. It ranks as one of our top meals ever. The wait staff were actually friendly as well as being extremely efficient. The food was superbly prepared in very adequate portions. The bay scallop second course was absolutely heavenly! The wine we chose was very good as well as reasonably priced (compared with the averge prices on their extensive list). We look forward to a return visit.
