    Great pre-theater dinning!

Went there before a show by a friend's recommendation...and I was impressed! Ok, the food is good but one can find good food at some other place, though the service was rocking!! and the wine list includes the greatest variety of the best wines! Treasure in the Theatre District!

    Enjoyable food and ambiance

The food at this restaurant is great. My wife and I and guests come here whenever we see a play. It is always a treat. The food is excellent, the service excellent and ambiance is enjoyable. The reserved friendliness and non rushed environment will always be dear to me.

Really good food, esp on 46th!

I've had the best and the worst food of my life on west 46th street. I got this place recomended to me by people in the restaurant industry who go here regurally. The employees must deal with a lot of tourists so I bet being a regular would make the experience wonderful. The service is always really lame but the food is always delish. It's one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC definetely.

    Wonderful place !!!

There are a lot of restaurant in the Theatre District, but this is one of the few that is worth going to, even if you are not going to the theatre. Food is always excellent, i have yet to be disappointed in a meal here. Especially wonderful is the homemade mozzarella appetizer, truly the best i ever had.

    Catch of they day?

Difficult service, overpriced and the fish special was clearly yesterday's fish. Beware the (t)ides of Lattanzi.

    Well worth it

I love dining at Lattanzi restaurant because when I'm there, I truly feel i'm back home in Rome. Rustic and romantic decor together with a courteous staff and attentive service accompany the exquisite authentic roman cuisine. My favorite choices are the carciofi alla giudea, (the restaurant's signature dish) and then bucatini alla amatriciana which you will definetively want to have again should you go back, and the simple fresh mozzarella with tomato and basil, and last but not least, the veal with prosciutto and fontina cheese. Try not to eat all at the same time because you need to leave room for their homemade desserts which you will appreciate more if you can sample a bit of each! (dessert combo). enjoy!

    A disappointment

The service was truly poor - our server didn't want to bring our bottle of wine until my companions had their cocktails, we had to insist upon it. The menu is much smaller and less interesting than the one online, portions were really small as compared to the prices charged. Appetizers tasted ok, were not big enough to share, and were also salty. For entrees, I ordered the pasta special with shrimp and lobster, what they served me was a highly salted pasta with a tiny piece of lobster body, a small piece of claw and a few baby shrimp. Of course they overcharged us for this because it was a "special". A friend ordered fish, also highly salted, a rather small portion. He was still hungry when we finished eating. Our server never ever came over to pour any wine, never came over to ask if we would like to have coffee or dessert until we were ready to leave.
