    Excellent!

Had the pizza with prosciutto and scallions and the pizza with Italian dry sausage. Both were absolutely delicious! We also had the salad with pear, chicken, Parmesan, and truffle oil. A must have!

Amazing food, bad service, where the owner?

i have been coming to lasso for the past year now and the food is out of this world. I have tried most of there pizza's and DOC is my fav!. I also love there salads and pasta dishes. I finally got to meet the Chef behind these wonderful dishes and he a very charming young fellow. He was very kind and nicely to explain one of his dishes to me on how to make it. With all that said i cannot believe there front of the house, feels like I'm re- living the 80's when I'm greeted by one of there waiters. They sorta rush you in with the order and seem out of place. You CANNOT tell who are the waiters/waitress from there actually customers, I URGENTLY suggest the owner makes a change with that. Speaking of the owner Where is he? I mean I am usually there 4 or 5 times a month and its been a year and I still don't know who he is. He must not be very involved. I thought the Chef was the owner till one of waiters said he not. If the owner actually gets around to reading his reviews then I strongly suggest keep the Chef there if you wanna succeed with Lasso and lose the waiters. For the Chef if that place doesn't change i sincerely think with your talent you should leave and get your own place , which i think would do great!. Sincerely Your fellow New Yorker.

    Good Food, Bad Service

I've never rated a restaurant before, however, I've felt compelled to do so the last few days upon the discovery of this cute little eatery. The moment my wife and I walked into the restaurant, we were poorly greeted by a total downer. The person was gloom, un-friendly, un-welcoming, expressionless, emotionless, monotone man that didn't express care about 2 people coming in to pay money, for their service and food. I'm torn about returning to this place, because I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, that the employees could have just been having a bad day, but after reading other reviews from folks experiencing the same my wife and I did, I've come to the conclusion this is just the way they are. At first, I didn't know it was our waitress that approached us, as she just stood next to our small table staring at us both, without saying a word. It was one of the more awkward moments I've experienced lately. I looked up at her and said "Can I help you?" (As I didn't know she was our waitress) She then began taking our order. All the other waiters and waitresses did the same thing to the others, and while taking orders, they looked and sounded as they they were terribly annoyed we were ordering their food. I always tip generously, but this rare time, I did not leave a good tip. Minimum, and that was it. The only people that deserved a tip were the cooks, because our pizza was damn good. Very, very good. Some of the best I've had in NYC, but the worst service I've had in NYC, as well. We won't be going back. I hope the manager/owner shakes things up their and listens to these reviews, because they have some personality issues and treat customers as though they are freaks of nature.

    Great food, poor management!

I frequent this place all the time and love their pizzas. However, the last time I went there with my friend they added a 20% service charge on my check. We were only two people. I asked one of the waiters if that is usual now since I've never been charged for a service charge there before and he said it depends on the server and my server that night was one of the managers! Obviously, I was a bit peeved but just paid the check and left. If it weren't for the tasty pizza, I would have argued with them and vow to never return!!!

    Great pizza, poor service

Have ordered from here before, love the pizza but after my last experience ordering for an office meeting, I'm not sure I'm willing to go through that again. Called the day before the meeting to place the order - they don't open until 11:30 and needed pizza here by 12 - and they told me to call back the following day at 10:30. Promised someone would be there to take my order. Called back the next day at 10:30, same guy answers phone and tells me to call back in an hour. I ask him, why would you tell me to call back the next day at 10:30 if you can't even take orders then? I call back at 11:30, different girl answers phone. She tells me they don't deliver until 1. I explain the situation to her and ask her CAN THE PIZZA BE HERE BY 12?? She promises it will. We have an important client meeting taking place at 12 so it HAS to be there by then, I tell her if not, we'll order from another place. She says yes, it will be there by 12. 12:10 rolls around, I call and say do you know when the pizza's going to be here? She says it should be there within the next 10 minutes. I am on the verge of flipping out at her and asking to speak with a manager but I'm not in the mood today. If it were MY client, I would probably have read her the riot act. That kind of service is upsetting. I'm actually still waiting for the pizza to get here and I bet by the time it does it will be cold. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Longest I've ever had to wait for delivery

We have our favorite pizza places in the area but I wanted to try something new tonight. Researched, found L'Asso, convinced the bf to try it, and waited for over 1.5 hours for the pizza to arrive. Ice cold. I love thin crust and the flavors were great (for a cold pizza) but I will never order delivery from here ever again.

    My favorite!

Amazing thin crust pizzas. Great delivery and friendly staff! I order in at least twice a month.
