    Spicy Goodness.......

The hot & spicy penne ala vodka is one of the best things on the entire earth. You may think we are exaggerating but we are serious. Try it & get back to us. You are guaranteed a rewarding experience. Taste the cheese. Enjoy the spices. Smell the fresh tomatoes. And yes....you will cave in everyday for lunch for the rest of your life.

    Good Food/Good Value/Good Service

The lasagna here is very good, and the four cheese lasagna is a killer. The service is good. This is the only place I can think of in recent memory who managed to serve my party of 12 at the same time. No stragglers, no one person just sitting around while everyone else ate. That happens so rarely at most places. Because of the rarity of that in most restaurants, Lasagna is my new favorite place for group lunchs.

    Great value, decent food

A big slice of lasagna for around $11. Can't beat it. The food is very good for the price and this place delivers. Seating outside right on 2nd avenue is kind of nice on warm days. (if you don't mind traffic) Worth trying it out at least once.

    A Wonderful Dinner

In a city saturated with Italian restaurants, Lasagna Ristorante is a stand out. On a surprisingly cool summer's eve, my protege and I had ourselves a marvelous dinner. Our waiter, who also served as bartender and is perhaps the owner/manager, was charming and solicitous. My Bloody Mary, ordered very spicy, was perfectly prepared, and a yummy garlic bread came hot from the oven. My protege and I shared an order of fried calamari which was very lightly battered and not over-cooked thus allowing the calamari to be the star. My chicken arrabiata was a generous portion of chicken breast smothered in a spicy pink sauce that was perfectly balanced and served with a side of pasta. My companion ordered an herbed chicken dish with roasted potatoes that he also greatly enjoyed. We finished the meal with an incredible tartufo comprised of chocolate enrobed vanilla ice cream. What a great dinner experience at a lovely and quite reasonably priced ristorante.

    Great Food....... Questionable Service

We ate here on 5/26/2007 for dinner. I have to say it was the best Italian food we had during our whole week in NYC, and found the prices to be the most reasonable of almost all the places that we ate. I would highly recommend this place. The only issue that we experienced was the service. We were served by what seemed to be the manager (perhaps owner) who, once our order was taken, never came back to our table. We finally started asking the other wait staff for refilles, desert menue etc...., and they were very helpfull and kind. Overall, it was a great dinning experience and would eat here again, the food is fantastic.

    Surprisingly Impressed

Met a friend for late lunch last week (about 2:30 pm) and just happened to stop here because the place we originally agreed on was closed. Was very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the pomegrante martinis were delish! The prices are very reasonable, but I would suggest going for the wine instead of the cocktails, because the cocktails can add up. The wine bottle prices looked reasonable. We split two of the pasta dishes, and both were very good and large portions, definitely enough for sharing. I would highly recommend!

    Enjoyable dining experience...

I dined at the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! Wonderful, fresh food and a very gracious waiter (Renee) who's suggestions were just what I was hungry for... plan on returning, most definitely!
