I had visited Lasagna Restaurant once before and enjoyed the beef lasagna. This time I ordered the Sausauge and Onion Lasagna for delivery. The person taking the order was very nice and recommended this Lasagna. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the lasagna that arrived. It was a very large portion, but it was mostly lasagna noodles with a very little bit of watery ricotta cheese on the inside -- very unappetizing. I wouldn't order the Sausage and Onion lasagna again -- maybe stick with the beef. Good luck.

    Met my expectations.

I went to Lasagna last night with some friends for a friend's birthday. The food was pretty good. I had read some reviews that warned others about the poor service. Well, they were dead on. It seemed like a lot was forgotten about or just took too long to prepare. Thankfully, they forgot about several glasses of wine when the bill came. The four cheese lasagna was nice...tasted as good as a decent Italian restaurant. The pasta dishes looked pretty uncreative and somoewhat bland. The garlic bread they put on the table was pretty good as well (even though we asked on three different occasions for some.) It wasn't memorable, but it was ok in the end.

    Poor customer policy

We were three couples and each couple decided to order an appetizer and a main dish and split them. The waiter brought each dish and a small plate for us to use as we divded. Food was plentiful. HOWEVER, the bill showed a $4.00 charge for each couple for "sharing." Nowhere on the menu or in the waiter's comments about our sharing, was there a mention of such a charge. This "surprise" charge was really outrageous! We did not argue, but have decided that our next visits to this area would avoid Lasagna.

Amazing Italian and Service in Chelsea

Lasagna is a fabulous restaurant, the food is always fresh and well presented and the service is impeccable. And trust me, I am a picky restaurant goer. I celebrated my birthday here and we were lucky enough to have a great waiter. As for the food, the specials (especially fillet mignon) are always delicious and inventive and the seafood dinners are always a hit. As for the lasagna, their trademark, the eggplant lasagna is probably the best. The bar never skimps on the cocktails, and the desserts are very good. All in all Lasagna is a step above the usual bland and underwhelming Italian fare in Chelsea, and I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good food. Service could be better

My mother picked up a dinner order a couple of days ago. The food was pretty good! The chicken parm was awesome and the pasta it came with was delciious too- all for a good value. The only negative comment on this place is they forgot to put in garlic bread! We were so disappointed. I'll order from here again but next time I'll check to make sure bread is in the bag!

    Unpleasant experience

I ate at this restaurant last night with my boyfriend. We walked by after receiving a menu from hawker on the street. We sat down after the maitre d' seemed quite charming and explained the new location was an outpost of a longtime flagship restaurant. Everything looked good. Okay, so the waiter takes our order without writing anything down (warning #1). He comes back a few minutes later to confirm my salad (warning #2). Why don't people write things down? No one thinks it's tacky to write down orders in a restaurant. Anyway, we were quite pleased with our appetizers. The roquefort and mozzarella salads were very good, so were excited to get our entrees. It took a little bit and the people next to us, who came in after us and ordered almost the same thing, got their food a while before we did (warning #3). Finally, the food shows up and my huge custom-baked lasagna looks great. My boyfriend's food looks good too, but he can't find the seafood in his seafood pasta. After looking around for the waiter, we ask Mr. Friendly Maitre D' to come by and explain the situation. He quickly comes back and says the waiter swears we got the order right. A few minutes later the waiter comes by and says, "Sweetie, I specifically remember asking if you wanted the whole wheat pasta (which is what he got)." We said we wouldn't have ordered something full of vegetables and whole wheat pasta. The waiter says, "Well, a replacement would take like 20 minutes." The boyfriend decides it's easier to just share mine. Some other guy comes over and sternly asks if there is a problem (we later learned he's the manager). No one at this point has apologized, after the whole wheat thing I just said maybe there was a misunderstanding to avoid the drama (if only these people would write things down). Believe it or not the drama continued. The bill came with a sharing charge. The food might be good, but it's not worth the drama!

Nice place for an unhurried meal

I've been here several times for both lunch and dinner. The food has always been fresh, hot, and tasty. As with all freshly prepared meals, don't expect your order to come right out, it's not a good place to go if you have a short lunch hour and need to get right back. I have found though, that if you tell the waiters that you are on a time schedule, they have been accommodating.
