Quite good!
When you walk in, you're a bit put off by how tiny it is, but when the food comes out, you realize that the crowding is worth it. One ergonomic quirk that I loved were the hooks underneath the tables for your purse. I guess in such a small place, you have to be creative! The food was really wonderful, and I had the best chicken empanada ever! Best of all, the service was really friendly and efficient. You never once felt neglected.

Tiny with average food
Not sure why this place gets such rave reviews. The restaurant is tiny and everyone is packed in like on 6 train in rush hour. This space is better suited for a take-out place than a sit-down dinner. The food was average and drinks watered down.

My favorite place in the city...
Las Ramblas is amazing. SO small, but such great food. My friend and I stumbled upon it almost 2 years ago while just looking for a nice place to have a drink. It was spring, so the big windows were open looking out onto the great people watching that is West 4th Street. The tapas is so fresh, and just the right size. The owners are so sweet and will accommodate you in any way they can. The Patatas Bravas are a favorite, and if you like anchovies, the boquerones are the best I've had outside of Spain. Try their Sangria. The white pear is fantastic. Get there as early as you can, however, because as I said, it is freaking tiny inside. You will be sitting on top of someone, so request the window seats if you can. Enjoy!

Super nice waitstaff, even better food!
Decided to come here on a Wednesday night based on all the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. Everyone says how small this place is, but until you actually see it, you won't believe just how tiny it is. They don't take reservations, so we waited at the bar for about 10 minutes and ordered drinks. The knowledgeable bartender recommended a glass of amazing wine from the south of Spain (I'm blanking on the name), and my friends had the white pear sangria (they loved it). There were 4 of us, so we ordered about 8 tapas (4 at a time so they would come out over time). Each and every tapa we ordered was amazing, especially the staple tapa: Patatas Bravas. The cheese plate was also great and paired very well with the wine. Overall, a pleasant experience, but don't bother going if you're at all claustrophobic.

Excellent food....
Like the title says....EXCELLENT. I went with a friend and we loved some of the dishes so much we got seconds of the same things! The duck sausage, meatballs, lamb(special that night), octopus salad.....all incredible! One of my new favorite spots to eat....

Does anyone remember the Bagel?
Las Ramblas has taken over the site of one of the Village's legendary hole-in-the-wall joints, The Bagel. Forturnately, Las Ramblas helps me get over the passing of that old institution. We live a block away, and try to make it there as often as we can, but its well deserved success sometimes makes that difficult.

Worth it if you can get a table
Went last weekend with my girlfriend. We had to sit and wait near the door for about 30-40 minutes before we were able to get a table. Once we did get one it was right next to the door and anytime someone we came in we froze. Those are the end of the negatives though, the food was delicious. Everything we tried -- the meatballs with cheese, the sizzling shrimp, and the artichoke special (to name a few) were delicious. The service was warm and welcoming and the vibe was lively.
