Yes, please!
i'm going to admit something really embarrassing: when i order pernil at cuban/dominican places, i tend to just eat the crisp/fatty skin and throw away the meat. i know, what a waste of roast pork! but most places serve up really dry, stringy stuff that leaves me cringing. but not so in this case! i just wolfed down everything (yellow rice w/ peas, roast pork) and was very impressed. it's a touch salty, but i'd rather it be slightly overseasoned than bland. their oxtail stew is a bit greasy, but it's still good. this is not the kind of place you bring a date to; it's more of a "running home and hungry - i'll pop in and get an order to go" deal. the guys behind the counter are cheerful and ready with a winsome smile to boot. with plates averaging in the 6-8$ range, you won't go broke eating well. portions are quite large, so a serving will last a couple days. oh, they recently changed the outside awning so that it now reads "something something coffee shop" (i don't remember the name) but the food's still the same. enjoy!
