    I guess I recommend it . . .

...If you like beautifully prepared, ridiculously tasty food that's reasonably priced and served in a warm atmosphere by great servers. I guess I'd kind of recommend it if you're the kind of person who enjoys perfectly al dente hand-made pastas, fantastic olive oils, bright, fresh greens, well-paired wines, addictive brussels sprouts, and swoon-worthy olive oil cake. Perfect place for a date, a group of friends, a family...I loved it.

    Viva L'Artusi!

Great food, great service, good price for the quality. The upstairs seating is warmer and quieter than downstairs. The ceviche melts in your mouth, and the skate with potatoes and olives is a perfect blend of taste and texture. The brisket with polenta and brodo is bold, smoky, and tender. The walnut torte was quite good, and a nice way to finish. The waitress we had was cute (yes, physically, but it was her personality that made her so), friendly, and very knowledgeable and helpful. We gave her three wines we'd been thinking about and she suggested the least expensive of the three how often does that happen? BTW - her suggestion was excellent - a perfect complement to our entrees. When we save up another 100-bucks for a dinner, we will return for sure.

We eat out at often and this is it...

My husband and I eat in many of the top NYC restaurants and this place tops them in value and taste. The service was superb. Out dishes (blue marlin crudo, char, winter lettuce, cavatelli, and cranberry tart) were seasoned perfectly. The wine list was extensive and dessert wonderful. This is our new "go to" place.

    Great! Will be back

I was excited to see that the Del'Anima owners decided to open this restaurant, which is a lot bigger than Del'Anima. The food lived up to these owners' reputations. Started off with the scallops which were sliced thin with a light olive oil and lemon dressing. Very fresh and light. The pastas were unique and great. Had the gnocchi w/mushrooms and another pasta with brussel sprouts and fontina cheese. Both were excellent. Finished with the quail, which was also excellent. THere was nothing on the menu that did not look good. If you do not have a reservation, they have a large bar with about 30 or so seats that serves the full menu and was quite comfortable. However, you must get there before 8 if you want to secure a seat, otherwise, you have to try again another day.
