    Don't go hungry

My boyfriend Monty and I wanted to hit a few jazz clubs in the village, and were looking for a good restaurant in the area. The menu outside looked reasonable and had a wonderful selection. However, it did not indicate the portions were miniature size. How could they possibly justify charging $18.00 for three tablespoons of pasta?! The tuna was delicious and approximately two ounces in size. Even if you spend well over $100 as we did, you will go away hungry. Very overpriced and disappointing.

    All good, with one catch...

Went to L'Artusi tonight with my family. The atmosphere of the place was great, very warm. In the beginning the waitress seemed knowledgeable and friendly, but she suggested we order 3-4 plates per person. At around $15-18 a pop, that is a bit crazy for what it was. We ordered 2 main things each and shared cheese and other small plates. All of the food, with the exception of the veal, was spectacular. Fresh, nicely prepared and presented well. My main gripe: the waitress. First she was angry we didn't order 4 plates per person and then who knows what was bothering her, because she kept talking about us and other diners in plain sight. She was outright rude and unpleasant at the end. My advice would be to try L'Artusi and cross your fingers that this waitress doesn't serve you...

    Mmmmmm....L'Artusi

I've heard so much about this restaurant so decided to give it a try and couldn't be happier that I did. Two of us went on a Sunday night and the restaurant was cute, had great service and excellent food. My bf started off with the Salumi platter which was delicious and I started off with the endive salad which was a large portion, fresh and refreshing. I had the branzino which was simply prepared as noted on the menu and very good and my bf had both the tagliatelle and pasta with white ragu which were both fantastic. We had a side of the sunchokes which you absolutely MUST get. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Good wine, but the food was too SALTY!

I had heard so much about this place, so I went there with high expectations. The food was good, but everything was way too salty. One item that did stand out on the positive side was the octopus appetizer, which I highly recommend. Other reviewers said this place had a great atmosphere, but I can't say that I would agree. Very dull and un-impressive appearance. Seating was also a quite cramped. We were opposite the bar, about five inches away from the table next to us. Cautious note on the "affordable" prices: they are small plates. So you might think, hey $18 for an "entree" isn't too bad. Our bill for two people, including wine and tip, was a little over $200. The good: great wine selection, very attentive and friendly wait staff and bus boys, and some delicious appetizers (notably the octopus). The bad: food was too salty.

    ok

the space is very nicely done. the architecht and decorators did a great job..the food wan't bad. the service seemed a bit stretched. we had to keep asking for things. it didnt seem natural for the waiter to check up on us. its worth checking out to get a drink at the very least..there was a nice buzz until 1am

    great new addition

I was curious to come here as I love dell'anima. Had a great dinner, and could have ordered 90% of the menu. tried the tuna and scallop crudos, both of which were excellent. grilled endive salad was also very well done (good dressing) and side dishes cauliflower and brocoli were perfect. waitresses were very accommodating and helpful, and the place had a great vibe. also good bar scene, and fun atmosphere. hard to find ambiance and good food with not too expensive prices. overall was a huge fan of this new restaurant- can't wait to go back!
