Salty but enjoyable
L'Artusi is overall a great restaurant. We went last night without a reservation and were seated at the bar right away. The service was great. The bruschetta and carpaccio were excellent. We shared the pasta special which was a a fetuccini with parmesan and cremini mushrooms. The pasta was overcooked and the dish was very salty. My boyfriend didn't mind it, but it was too much for my palette. I also had the mushroom and pancetta appetizer which I found salty as well. Perhaps the combination of ingredients lead to the saltiness, however it was definitely too strong for my liking. The blackberry upside down cake was delicious. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and would go back again, but I would be very careful about what I order and ask them to maybe use less salt!

Excellent food, ambience, and service
My husband and I went with some friends to L'Artusi recently for dinner. We had a wonderful time. Although we did not have a reservation, we were seated with in just a few moments of our arrival. The gnocchi melted in my mouth, and the mushroom bruschetta was also delicious. The other food items and wine were great. Overall, this is an excellent place and we will definitely go back!!

Great experience...I will go back!
Ate there for the first time last night. Our server (Kate) was terrific. She helped navigate the very extensive wine list and made a perfect selection for us. There were 4 in our party. We each ordered a salad and a pasta dish and had two sides for the table and it was the just the right amount of food. We all ordered dessert and there was a problem with one of our selections (they were not happy with the finished product when it came out of the oven) and they gave us a substitute plus the original choice on the house. Everything we all ate was delicious. I will definetely be going back and will spread the word to my friends. The prices were in line with the quality of the food we had.

amazing
Such a wonderful experience! Our waiter was patient, very helpful in his suggestions, and chummy in a way that made you comfortable. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees between two people, and it was more than enough including two desserts. The orecchiette and garganelli are my absolute favoite! But the real reason that this waiter was my favorite was because he introduced us to a rhubarb dessert that was absolutely beyond description. I want to say that it was the pastry chef's birthday and she did it as a tribute to either the restaurant or herself--whatever it was, I want it again. Happy Birthday to me, please.

Way too much salt
I normally don't write negative reviews (I just avoid going back) but hopefully someone in management will read this. I decided to give L'Artusi a second chance after my last over-salted dinner because a friend was dying to try it. Last night, our two pasta dishes and chicken dish were unbearably salty. Octopus dish and olive oil cake and the service (amazing bartender/server) made up for it but the someone in the kitchen had a HEAVY hand of salt with the other dishes.

Good to very good food...Poor Service
Food at this place was very good...pastas were fresh and tasty, wine list extensive but pricey...service was ver poor...waiter was rude, and inattentive...would try again, but not for another few months.
