After visiting a friend in the hospital across the street, three of us had dinner there last night. We each found every dish excellent. Lovely atmosphere as well.

- The food was good, but tiny portions for the price and the service was mediocre at best

I live in the neighborhood and was disappointed when Pongsri shut. Yes it wasn't spectacular, but it was very reliable and some dishes were very good. So when this place opened, I was excited and ate there the first night .It wasn't good and I put it down to first night jitters. But I gave it another chance tonight and ordered food that I have just thrown out without eating. I had the Tom Yum which was fine but the duck salad was a greasy mess as was the appetizer curry puff. It's really a shame as I love Thai food and this place is a stone's throw away.

The Lantern replaces a tired old Thai restaurant. Excellent appetizers, salads, and main courses...especially any dish with shrimp or duck. Amazing lunch deals. Sweet service, nice atmosphere. Try it.

Lantern has an overall beautifully modern and artsy atmosphere without sacrificing cozyness. The staff is a bit green but everyone seemed friendly and willing to offer the best experience. The menu has enough choices to please everyone inculding the unique shrimp appetizer, Lantern Angel. Coctails seem a bit pricy but the rest of the menu items were definitely affordable and most importantly flavorful.

This place is really good. I ordered the Massaman Curry which is great but the price may be a little steep for it, $9. If I want a close Thai place I will go here but there is a place on Court Street called Joya, it is very cheap and excellent. The atmosphere is a little loud but that may be good for some or just get it to go. Hoped this helped.

I don't even like Thai food but my husband convinced me to try this place and I can't get enough! We are leaving for the restaurant right now which will be our second time in the last few days! Try the Iced Tea Lemonade- so good. Also try the pineapple friend rice... YUM!
