    best uws deli

Whenever my husband and I are not sure where we should go...we go to Lansky's. We're never disappointed. The food, service and portions are always generous. I especially love the cole slaw. Elizabeth the host/manager always makes sure that everything is done for a perfect meal.

    great Thanksgiving!!!

Love the soups and sandwiches, so we decided to try it for Thanksgiving- it was outstanding! 4 courses, sup, salad, or appitizer, mains- we had filet, lamb, and salmon, all great, and served with different appropriate sites ( no broccoli, and roasted potato for all here!)8 pie or ice cream ( probably the weakest course- only we were stuffed by then).

    Best deal in the area

I visit Lansky's about once a week, I'm a regular of sorts. Everything I've sampled here has been great and the service is always good too. I love Elizabeth, the host/manager. She always gives me a little something for free. The pastrami is excellent (especially the grilled pastrami and cheese) and I really enjoyed the cobb salad. My absolute favorite thing to order is the twin sandwiches though. Their egg salad is the best I've ever had (at a restaurant) and the fries are very tasty. I recommend the Myer's Cup if you're in the mood for alcohol. They also make phenomenal chocolate chip cookies. They taste better than homemade. I will definitely keep going back to Lansky's every week like I've been doing.

Went wandering for Sunday brunch. Sat at lovely table by the window with my daughter. I had terrific strawberry french toast. Not greasy, not cloyingly sweet...perfection with fresh berries. Daughter had blintzes. Rivals any I have had anywhere. Service was wonderful. I may have a new favorite place. All reasonably priced in a non-pretentious pretty place. Couldn't ask for more.

    great place

Don't understand the negative reviews. We had a great meal, even the vegetarians. The pea soup (vegetarian) was wonderful as was the whitefish sandwhich. The service was friendly. Will definitely go back
