Had a great brekkie and another time fabulous filet mignon - so tender. would come again when visiting New York. Good prompt service too.

    Best deal in the area

I visit Lansky's about once a week, I'm a regular of sorts. Everything I've sampled here has been great and the service is always good too. I love Elizabeth, the host/manager. She always gives me a little something for free. The pastrami is excellent (especially the grilled pastrami and cheese) and I really enjoyed the cobb salad. My absolute favorite thing to order is the twin sandwiches though. Their egg salad is the best I've ever had (at a restaurant) and the fries are very tasty. I recommend the Myer's Cup if you're in the mood for alcohol. They also make phenomenal chocolate chip cookies. They taste better than homemade. I will definitely keep going back to Lansky's every week like I've been doing.

    Fabulous!

Went wandering for Sunday brunch. Sat at lovely table by the window with my daughter. I had terrific strawberry french toast. Not greasy, not cloyingly sweet...perfection with fresh berries. Daughter had blintzes. Rivals any I have had anywhere. Service was wonderful. I may have a new favorite place. All reasonably priced in a non-pretentious pretty place. Couldn't ask for more.

    great place

Don't understand the negative reviews. We had a great meal, even the vegetarians. The pea soup (vegetarian) was wonderful as was the whitefish sandwhich. The service was friendly. Will definitely go back

    SO delish!

The egg salad is amazing, as is the matzoh ball soup! $8.95 for a large bowl of soup and 1/2 overstuffed sandwich of this quality are hard to find on the UWS (unless you dine at McDonald's, barf!). Service can be slow at times and the tables are a little small, but other than that it's great!

    Great Sunday Night dinner

We order in from this restaurant almost every Sunday night! Nancy is so great to work with. She ALWAYS gets it right. The food is great and the roast chicken dinner is the best value- $12.95 with one side. I highly recommend the chicken soup as well. If you are looking for neighborhood restaurant that is not gourmet but more like Momma is in the kitchen, this is the place.
