    Above Par

OK lets set the record straight here. I've read so many reviews here whining about how this restaurant doesnt live up to the one in Tribeca. I've never been to the one in Tribeca. Therefore, I'll rate it objectively (as should be). I live in the neighborhood and have eaten here at least 5 times. Everytime the food has been above par. Pasta (Bolognese and Carbonara) excellent. Steak, delicious. Burgers, great. Liver good but too rich. Calamari very good. Chicken Caesar Salad very good as well. Specialty Margarita is delicious, had several times. Desserts are great but small if you order individual. My complaints, coffee tastes burnt consistently . Had brunch one time and eggs were greasy and heavy. Service is very unpredictable. Yes its located in Time/Warner (Mall). That means lots of tourists. Don't want that, dont go there. Be prepared to leave full. There you have it!

    how you have fallen

Having eaten and the Landmarc Tribeca, I was excited that this restaurant was coming to my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I found the Columbus Circle location to be a disappointment. The wine selection/value might be great, but the food often comes out cold and the service is not good.

    Mall Eating

My friend and I had dinner at Landmarc the other day and what used to be a good meal has turned into typical mall eating. The prices have gone up, and the food has gone down. It seems that this place has gotten the Upper West Side bug which means bland food and bland service. I hope that they improve because it's a good menu and a good concept, but it's gone downhill.

    Wine Value

Look, is this a chaotic experience? Yes. Is there a higher than average percentage of tourists via the Time Warner Center location? Yes. Can you find a restaurant with this approach to wine pricing anywhere else on the island of Manhattan? No way. Marc Murphy should be heralded, lauded, showered with compliments for his worldview. I can't say enough about it. And, the cooking is absolutely excellent. If you are OK with the noise/energy level, this is a pure winner....

    Spectacular

After hearing some buzz about this restaurant, I decided I had to try it. My girlfriend and I went on a Friday night. We waited for our table, but that was fine we just hung out at the bar. We had a great table with a great view. The server was knowledgable about the food and wine. We both had a great dinner and time. In fact, we went back for breakfast a couple days later, and that was great too! The food and value are great for the location of the restaurant.

    Who Are These People?

Give me a break. This is one of the best restaurants of it's kind in our area. The food is good and consistent. The service is ok, and the setting is spectacular. I eat here with my wife at least once a week, and we've never had a bad meal. Too salty? Overpriced? This is NY, and you're eating at the Time Warner Center, remember? If you are looking for cheap, Gray's Papaya is down the street.

    Amazing Experience

My friend and I were shopping in the building on Saturday and we decided to go to Landmarc for a late lunch. It was a marvelous decision. All of the staff were incredible friendly. Our food was delicious. We started out with the goat cheese profiteroles which were awesome. I had the pasta and my friend had a steak. We were both satisfied with our meals and we will be going back again very soon!
