Landmarc

It certainly is a pleasant place to have dinner on the upper westside, but we were disappointed with the mediocre service -- had to wait for 15 minutes to place our drink orders and then waited quite a while to place our food orders. It was stressful rather than enjoyable. When the food finally did come it was not good. Steak was very tough and fatty and the seafood was tasteless. I will not return and will not recommend it. Our party of 6 all agreed.

Landmarc, ah the beauty of arriving uptown, yes we give thanks! However on two very recent visits the growing pains are evident as much as they are understandable. Food was equally well prepared, ambience was great. Our late night excursion brought perfect food and a friendly waitress, service was poor. food arrived before an bottled beer, and entrees arrived without any new silverware and our server opening the wine off of her knee was hysterical. The next trip Sunday night was a lot of fun. Saw some old friends, ordered plenty of wine, food was great too. And yet.. with two managers on the floor our last bottle of red didn't arrive until half way through our entrees and it was the wrong bottle and worse b/c of delays the server had already opened it w/o presenting it, so we basically had to drink it, thankfully it was cheaper than the one ordered. I will remain loyal to Landmarc and Marc Murphy - they offer for the most part good consistency, great wine prices and most importantly a great place for friends to always visit - and I love being close to the uptown location. Lets hope they improve their staff and perhaps training in the weeks to come. And equally important that the steaks are cooked properly, which as of several experiences became the downfall of the tribeca location.
