What happened?
I used to love Landmarc: the simple American food, the wine program, the family-friendly attitude. I liked it so much that I went there for my birthday recently. A mistake. When I couldn't cut my steak I asked for a new knife, thinking it was blunt. The new knife couldn't cut it either and of course I couldn't chew it. To give them credit, they took it off the bill, but it spoiled my birthday celebration. And it wasn't cheap!

Service at Time Warner Center needs work fast
I love Landmarc downtown. Uptown, not so much. Went 2 nights ago with a friend just to change it up. Should have met downtown as usual. The women in charge of seating were surly, dumb, creepily depressed, and completely incompetent. The bartenders were surly and incompetent (how long did we have to wait to close out the tab in order to sit for dinner? does it really take THAT long to run a receipt)? People, do your jobs. You don't want to work at a restaurant, then don't.

great food but hectic atmosphere
happened by this restaurant before going to the theater. accomodated us right away, excellent service and food. but atmosphere was very noisy - lots of young families and social groups. not a good choice if you want quiet or romantic. also, very pricey for what you get, but the food was terrific.

Save your $$$ and don't eat here!
The atmosphere is alright, nice views of Columbus Circle. Had the french onion soup-it was disappointing. The mussels were pretty good. My girlfriend got the tuna-not that great either. So consensus, probably a good place to grab a drink with friends, not so much to eat. There are so many better resturants in the city and why eat here when it not great and it's expensive? I'll be spending my hard earned cash else where!

Depressing Design
This is the dreariest looking restaurant in New York City. Who approved that black ceiling? Needs some color, lightness, design. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Get Your Act Together!
I love the Tribeca location and have been there dozens of times and sent friends and fellow employees with high regards. That’s also when I was working closer to that location. I now work in midtown and I think I have given Mr. Murphy’s "new" location enough times to pull it together. Look folks...you are not “new” anymore!! All the kinks should have been worked out by now!! The host stand is sloppy and inattentive...the service is embarrassing...and the food is a gamble. Never great just ok...but sometimes just not good!!

skip this one...go straight to tribeca
I have been to the tribeca venue a dozen times and this one twice - and for the last time last night. I ate at the bar and asked about the cheese plate. He had no idea, so he went to ask someone. Fine. He came back and couldn't remember half of the cheeses. Then he disappeared. I think it must have been the bar manager who showed up, but only because his brother came for free beers. Then a third employee came to chat w the other two and the freeloading brother about how they were going to pick up chicks and what they would do to them. Really? As if! Food is great but staff is classless...
