Brunch
Had brunch here and am still thinking about the french toast.... Big hunk of bread, not much to look at, but custardy on the inside and fried with a crunchy sugar coating. Yum.

Grey and chic
It was a pleasant meal, nothing spectacular. I ordered grilled salmon over ratatouille. It was grilled as recommended, and the wine was okay. I did feel it was a bit too loud for my taste. Then again we had a table in the middle of the room. Very typical tribeca chic.

Great
We've only had one meal here, but we're going back. They just didn't do one single thing wrong: the appetizers were fabulous, the strip steak was superb, and so was the steak tartare. We had three desserts (each one costs 3$) and the blueberry cumble was awesome. With one meal this restaurant has become one of my favorites.

City's Best...
I'm sure the exotic items are fantastic---but for the more conservative eaters, I can't recommend the shrimp salad strongly enough. The shrimp are huge and plentiful and the salty, crispy capers go perfectly with the bite of the frisee. Artichokes dotting the landscape round out the salad; the dressing is rich and delicious. It's not the refuse from an emergency room procedure (kidding, foodies), but it sure is a satisfying dish.

Can't go wrong...
All round great place, although it's cosier in the winter. Steaks are great, the dessert combo is perfect and more often than not it's worth wandering away from the 'regular' menu items - the boudin noir is outstanding as are the marrowbones, if you like that sort of thing...

A Tribeca Treasure
Always worth the wait. The no reservation policy is a bit of a pain, but is absolutely worth the wait! Do not be discouraged by the wait- enjoy a bottle of wine at the bar. The "walk-in's only" policy is appreciated because we are neighborhood regulars. The service is always fantastic, friendly, and polite. The food is phenominal: we recommend the steaks and the roasted cod and the bluefish is amazing. Don't forget to save room for dessert-, the "one-of-each" platter is perfect because it offers just a perfect portion of each dessert to end a fantastic meal. The wait can get a bit long on the weekends- be sure to call ahead to to know how long of a wait is to be expected.

Great drink, great food
Extensive wine list at rereasonable prices, delicious mussels in pesto sauce and mouth-watering cuts of beef. Excellent french fries and ceasar salad. Old -fashoned ice cream cones for dessert are a must. Over one of my favorite spots, however they don't accept reservations and you will wait, but worth it. Just order a bottle of wine and relax, they will tell you an hour or more, but it's more like half that.
