    What a good place

We went early--at 6 pm after a matinee--so maybe my experience at Landmarc wasn't typical, but I just loved it. The room was full of families with kids: they give them free blue cotton candy to eat while the parents are finishing their main courses. The service was friendly and attentive and the food is just what you want to eat. Not a Major Dining Experience but a delicious meal. I had bluefish and my husband had steak and we both had those cute little ice cream cones for dessert. Best of all is the wine policy with so many half bottles, priced at a few bucks more than retail. We had a half bottle of champagne instead of cocktails for $22. You can't beat that. If I lived nearby I'd be here all the time.

    I love Landmarc!

The mussels in pesto sauce is to-die-for here...it is unbelievable! I also love their cheeseburgers, just fantastic. The service is great, the wine is reasonable, and the 2-bite desserts are delightful. A great place to take a date or your family, a terrific find in Tribeca!

    A great place to frequent

You could come here weekly and try everything on the menu - the ambiance is wonderful, the staff friendly and the wine list is very good.

    Exceptional experience!

Even though they don't take reservations for small parties, we were seated very quickly on a Saturday night. The wine selections were excellent and the waiter let us know that there are no significant markups and that they are one of the few places to sell by the half-bottle. The mussels as an appetizer were awesome (we actually asked for more bread because the sauce was so damn tasty). And the main course was excellent, skirt steak was amazing! We did not feel rushed at all, the meal was paced very well. An excellent experience, and certainly not a typical Tribeca dinner. Oh, and the dessert samplers are a great way to end the night.

    Exellent service, just so-so food

Steaks were over cooked - which is a crime for the money that you pay. Service is EXCELLENT - second to very few. Good wine list and the small bottles are a nice touch. But the below average food and the inability to have a quiet meal (mainly due to the numerous kids) makes it not worth the money.

    I would definitely go back!

Nothing is exceptionally exciting about the food here, but it's clear they use quality ingredients and prepare everything wonderfully. Last week was my first visit to Landmarc, and I'd love to go back. The prices were reasonable, the service was knowlegeable and friendly, the atmosphere is hip but convivial, we didn't have to wait that long for a table, and the food was great. Have the shrimp salad--excellent! The calamari--like I said nothing exciting as far as concept--was delicious, too. My dining companions had steak and the pork chop and enjoyed both thoroughly. My spaghetti carbonara was well prepared--thank god no mushy pasta--but I would've liked a little more pancetta in the dish. And I loved the fact that the desserts were all sort of sample size and each cost about $3. The ice cream cones are a great idea, and I loved the hazelnut I chose. This restaurant is busy, and for a reason that goes beyond hype!

    Great Food & Wine

There are so many things to like about this place. For starters, the atmosphere is very cool. It's a dimly lit place that is slightly trendy, but not trying too hard. The food is great. Steaks are cooked on an open fireplace right out in the open. And the steaks are cooked very nicely, well seasoned and certainly filling. All sides were good, not unreal. Dessert was great, with the sampler being the hit attraction. But the real reason to go to this gem is the wine. The list is quite extensive and very inexpensive. Take it from someone who drinks a lot of wine, this is the best wine deal at any restaurant in NYC. Go just for that. However, if you are impatient, and expect to be seated right away - this is not the place for you. Expect at least an hour wait. Hey - more time for wine at a pretty cool bar!
