    delicious food. pricy. modern design

Yes. the food is delicious. but for the price you pay for? it had to be delicious! i think the bill came out to be 70 for two entrees and one appetizer. a bit too much for me. service was alright, not anything special. but the environment, its where one should dress up for i suppose. a bit of a business outlook to it. i wouldnt go back. i have been to better restaurants with almost same price. nothing that special about this place.

    Disappointing

The service was astonishingly disappointing. We were told by our server that our meal was to order when it was clearly incorrect (rare and bloody vs medium). So we sent the meal back only to have an over-charred inedible meal return. We asked for the manager and was given the waitress who told us we had an attitude and it was our fault. We have been eating there for years and noticed the steady decline when TWC opened. Never, ever again!

    Love this place!

My boyfriend and I go here often and we are never disappointed. I recently introduced some friends to the restaurant and they said it was one of their favorite meals in the city so far. We had two steaks and the cod and all were excellent. The wine is always a great value. Thank you and keep up the good work!

    overhyped and underperforming

I have eaten in both restaurants uptown and down and have ordered in from both. The food and service were always ok: not great, just ok everytime. I gave the place[s] multiple chances because no one can be spot on all the time and the menus were broad and I often needed to find local options quickly. Bottom line: The prices are way too high to justify the product. The meats (steak, pork) are exorbitantly priced given the portions. No one expects trough like amounts anymore but this is ridiculous. Theres no value here of any kind. The sides are mediocre- comfort food not done well is embarrassing. The desserts are also not great. Neither the atmoshere nor the food are special enough to warrant the bill. Its a shame. They need an overhaul.

Good food in general, broad menu has some disappointments

Review is for the downtown location. The good: Steaks are usually well cooked, tasty and fairly priced. Stick with the strip, seen some bad rib eyes there. Some of the pasta dishes are very good. Appetizers are excellent across the board. I like the atmosphere downstairs, upstairs is loud and sometimes cold. The great: Wine prices are awesome. Basically the same price you'd pay in a wine store and a very broad selection. We honestly go here some nights because of the wine value. The not so good: The menu is very, very broad. Perhaps they try to do too much, which leads to some less than fresh ingredients in the less often ordered dishes and some big misses (have not had a good fish dish here ever). Overall if you stick to classic bistro food its good

    not worth it

I was hoping this one would be better than the one at time warner center but it's not. the snaper was over salted, the endive salad had maybe one piece of blue cheese, the escargot was an escarno, and the grill veg plate was 90% onions. the only good thing was the cotton candy and strip stake. overall not worth the money.

    poor service

Although this place did not take reservations, we (3) were seated right away. However, no one even acknowledged us until about 15 min after we were seated. Then we were only given like 2 min to look over our menu...had to ask the waiter twice to give us a few more min. I ordered the Branzino which was delicious. My friend ordered the pork chop which she said was really dry. We hardly were able to find our waiter most of the night. Food was overpriced for what it was. Would have had a better experience if it wasn't for the subpar service
