    Great food, service, and decor

We picked this place after reading the review complaining that the food was too spicy. We were not disappointed. The squid is wonderfully spicy! The dishes we ordered medium-spicy , the duck rolls and green papya salad, were refreshing and delicious. The service is quick and attentive, and the decor is beautiful, although it's crowded and a bit loud.

    Cozy, delicious and reasonable

To counter the "too spicy!" rant with a note of reason: genuine Thai food is... you guessed it... spicy! we've eaten here twice and ordered delivery several times. Land is easily the best Thai in the neighborhod. The striped bass is spicy and succulent, the vegetable dumplings are fantastic and the staple of every Thai joint -- pad thai -- is easily one of the better versions i've ever had. Nothing was too oily or gloppy, as a lot mediocre Thai tends to be. And the only thing that was a little run-of-the-mill were the meat skewers, although the sauces with it were great. It's a cozy little place, with a modern Asian decor. The service was prompt and attentive. Highly recommended.

So Happy Land Opened on East Side

We have been crossing town to go to Land on the West Side since it opened and are thrilled that there is finally one in our neighborhood! The food is consistently superb and the prices are jaw-droppingly low. Highly recommended!

Bring a Fire Extinquisher For Your Mouth

I wrote the first glimmering review for Land for which I wish to recant. Our take out order was HOT, INEDIBLE and FIRE ENGINE SPICY. When I called to complain, management refused to reimburse me YET offered to pick thru my garbage for said indedible food so that the Chef could see for himself. AWFUL FOOD AND PSYCHOTIC SERVICE.

    BYOB and great

New great addition to the UES. Also currently BYOB and the food is good. A little slow with the service but a great small environment to enjoy a nice dinner

    WOW! SOME GOOD GRUB!

Have eaten here at least 10 times since it has opened. From the first time I ate there I new it was only a matter of time before everyone would know about it. You can get anything on the menu with either, beef, chicken or shrimp. The appetizers are awesome and you can bring your own alcohol. The staff is also very attentive. I decided to try the lunch special for delivery and you get and appetizer and main dish for $8. It was so good that i had to order again for dinner that same night. If you like thai food and like your food fresh, i suggest LAND!

    Yum!

This place was great. I had the spring rolls and wok cashew nut with tofu. The spring rolls had root vegetables in them, making them less stringy and more flavorful than typcial spring rolls. They were a perfect size and the dipping sauce was great too. The wok cashew nut with tofu was very good, lots of flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. The waitstaff was also extremely attentive. I can't wait to go back.
