you have to try it once

the soups are great and for the price wh0 can complain---except for the chicken veggie it sucks it's just broth mostly!--but the beef veggie, lentil, broccoli rabe and pumpkin are really good, I've only tried the penne aurora pasta its soo good!

    Oh my G_d PASTA

Although Lamarca has been in my neighborhood for years, just tried it last night. Oh my G_d. It was so delicious, there are no words. I took out the low fat pasta meal. Al dente pasta (cooked to perfection) with olive oil & garlic, herbs, & spices. Mixed with some fresh tomatoes & I think capers and a little bit of cheese. The best ever!! Couldn't stop eating it. Rolls are fresh, crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Staff was pleasant & very accommodating. Decor is plain but pleasant. But it's the food that makes you forget where you and makes you come back for more. It's the best kept secret in Manhattan. I can't wait to try another dish.

    Don't miss it

Hands down, best restaurant in the area for the cost-conscious. Soups are unfailingly delicious -- they taste like homemade. Pastas are fresh and tasty. All for under $15 (under $10 at lunchtime). I've never had a bad meal here. Thank you, Mr. Lamarca!

    Great Italian at great prices

I eat at Lamarca at least once a week. It is amazing. The spicy tomatoe sauce, the meatballs, even the whole wheat pasta! Service is friendly.

    Never disappoints

La Marca is one of my favorite Italian restaurants here in Manhattan. It is modest and unpretentious but the food is consistently delicious. The wine is inexpensive, the house dressing is homemade and great. Try the involtini pasta with the sage sauce or the pesto. The service is always friendly which can be rare here in the city.

Best pasta in the city hands down!

I am a huge foodie and this is my favorite place for homemade pasta in the city. My favorites are the gnocchi con salsa aurora, tagliatelle ai spinaci, ravioli porcini and the pesto is amazing. The chicken parmesan is my boyfriend's favorite but you really can't go wrong with whatever you order here. Every meal is served with good bread and a delicious salad. They also have reasonably priced wines to match. Don't miss a trip to Lamarca!

    Oh, those meatballs!!!!

I fantasize about the meatballs at Lamarca. I'm really picky about meatballs, and do not even think of ordering them at a restaurant, but after a dining companion gave me a taste, I was in heaven - went back the next night with a different friend and had my meatballs - and didn't offer to share! It is reasonably priced, and they don't rush you. Treat yourself to Lamarca's
