My husband and I have been eating/ordering from Lamarca, weekly, for three years and it is consistently delicious and inexpensive. Yes the decor is minimal and the red sauce is a tad sweet but the pasta is fresh, the pesto is excellent and the service is wonderful. Salad dressing and bread is also fabulous. We are moving out of the neighborhood and will definitely miss Lamarca!

I LOVE this place. I can understsnd the mixed reviews, my BF hated it at 1st but now he loves it! We get delivery and go there. They always remember us and the pasta is amazing. The bottles of wine are soo cheap and they offer to cork it if you want to take the leftover home. The Tagliatelle Spinaci is my favorite and the gnocci is great also.

Have you ever been to Italy? and ate in their family restaurant? If your answer is yes, then you should try this place. If the answer is no, then you must try this place.

If you're in the neighborhood, Lamarca is absolutely the best place for pasta or a truly authentic Italian sandwich. I recommend the Pasta Aurora or the eggplant sandwich. Both will draw you back for seconds, thirds even. I'd go here every day if I lived closer. After all the half-way decent "Italian-style" restaurants in Manhattan that I've wasted my money at, Lamarca is a breath of very fresh air. An outstanding choice for lunch.

Italian food at its finest. I am so impressed by the pasta, and the various kinds of sauces this quaint little family restaurant has to offer. The only unfortunate thing they close on weekends. :(.

I definetly would not recommend Lamarca. The decor is really cheap: no table clothes, grey formica tables, paper napkins. The dinner pasta is way overpriced. I had the manicotti. For the price, $15.50, I got only two pieces, which were drowning in red sauce. The red sauce was sweet, tasted artificial. Not worth the visit.

not sure where she dined at, but this place is amazing. and they deserve success and accolades because the business is run w/care and a simple kindness. i go a couple times a month and truly...it's simply the best italian i've had in a looong time. maybe miss murray hill needs to try it again...but seriously...she don't know what she's talking about. the salad alone is worth it! love this place and the staff!
